    The police in Perth had Bentley's in the 1930s, don't know if they were blowers though!

    Seeing the bonnet straps, I wondered:
    What is done to the leather before installation and afterwards to maintain flexibility in all weather?

      Actually less oiling and treatment than on standard horse tack/ harnesses. Heavy oiling would harm the paint, and replacing a couple of leather straps every few years is certainly cheaper than a paint job! In fact to attest to the durability of leather, check out some of the turn of the century Indian and Harley Davidsons. They used leather belts for power delivery to the rear wheel! And they lasted for years and years. Ive seen one survivor motorcycle from around 1910 and it had either the original leather belt, or one replaced when the OEM belts were available from the local dealer, so at least 80 years!!! That amazed me. I ased the owner who said it was orignal, but there's no wayhe could know if it was replaced when the motorcycle was relatively new. Leather is tough stuff!!!

    Not quite the same as Jay Leno's collection, but still impressive nonetheless! Congratulations, Clive! You have good taste!!!

    Dennis doesn’t seem to drive the Uber expensive cars. Maybe their insurance only covers up to a $mil or so? Must be crazy expensive insurance!

      Spoke to soon on the doozy. But I did catch a slip up. Right when Dennis fired up the doozy he called it an 8 cylinder. But a minute before he said it was a 4 cylinder?? Hmmm

    • @bradcarroll3719
      @bradcarroll3719 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sforza209 he was saying 4 valves per cylinder and mixed up his words. It is a straight 8, DOHC 32 valve. Still technology that you only get with a performance or higher end automobiles. Itis available in many cars, but usually as the optional engine. It was really an engineering marvel back then, and niw.
