Sindhu lost the gold to Okuhara in 2017 in 110 min match, in 2019 Sindhu defeated the same Okuhara in 37 min to win the Gold medal. That's the real spirit of a champion!

I remember Sindhu used to be smashed by Chinese Taibei's Di.
But now, she is unstoppable, she is the World Champion. Indian athletes are physically strong enough to against any opponents at any sports fields, the only thing they need is proper training and government support.

When I saw the score line I thought that Okuhara was too tired from the semi final against Ratchanok and just didn't turn up, but watching this it's obvious that it was Sindhu that didn't let her turn up! She'd obviously worked on her conditioning before the tournament, but I've never seen her so determined and focused up to the last point...I think that's what made the difference this time around.

With Pusurla's reflexes she would have made an awesome tennis player.

reflex isnt that important in tennis, tennis is more predictable, not many changes in the direction of the ball
i was surprised how fast badminton is, ive seen pusarla once played 360 km/h !
I think you're right probably she could be great at tennis, she is a hefty woman, well built, very fast and strong. okuhara clearly couldnt andle her smashes

what an aggression and power. And for a tall person to have such a balance is amazing. Not sure how she managed to not get tired. Loved the game.
