Age of Universe and End of the World as per Hinduism

- When is the world going to end? & Would we be able to witness it? What do puranas say for it? These have been some common questions among many. Lets see from Hindu scriptures, especially what Bhagavatha Purana and Vishnu Purana say for the age of the universe.
Well, Currently, we are in 2019, 21st century,that is the first quarter of the Kali Yuga as per the scriptures. The span of Kali Yuga is 4,32,000 years. Before this Yuga, there was Dwapara Yuga, Tretha Yuga and Sathya Yuga. Lord Krishna leaving the earth and returning to Vaikunda is considered as the end of Dwapara Yuga and the commencent of Kali Yuga & that year is commonly believed as 3102 BCE. By summing up we are just 5121 years running in Kali Yuga, which means there are 4 lakh 27thousand years more to mark the end of Kali, at the occurence of which, Lord Vishnu would incarnate as Kalki to destroy the evil and re-establish Dharma as per Bhagavatham,
Dharma would get restored and Sathya Yuga would start again but that would not mark the end of the universe, The complete destruction, MahaPralaya and re-creation of the universe, Srishti would happen only after 100 years of Brahma gets completed. But the time frame of Brahma (i.e.) Devas are different from that of humans. Let’s find the equivalent human years according to solar calendar corresponding to the life of Brahma which in turn denotes the life of the universe. We will start from the Yuga.
The span of Kali Yuga is 432000 years. That of Dwapara Yuga is twice the span of Kaliyuga, 864000 years, of Thretha is thrice the Kali amounting to 12,96,0000, while Sathya is four times, making it 17,28,000 years
These four Yugas together is called as One Chatur Yuga or One MahaYuga, summing up these, we get 4.32 million human years and similarly thousand such Chatur Yugas is called as 1 Kalpa which is 4.32 billion human years, You know what this makes just one day of Brahma, His one night is another Kalpa. So 2 Kalpas make his one full day, Similarly his one year and Similarly his 100 Years. That will mark the end of Brahma, or rather end of his tenure paving way for another Brahma to take over his job. And this is when the entire universe would get destroyed and re-created. So the life or tenure of Brahma would be 4.32 x 2 x 360 = 311 trillion human years.
Besides these,
Each Kalpa (i.e.) the 1000 chatur Yugas are divided and managed by 14 Manus, indicating that each Manu would get approximately 71 Chatur Yugas and this period is called as Manvantara. Well. Too many nmbers
Anyway 2019,. where we are now?
During Sankalpa, or an oath which we take for Upanaya or be it any ceremenony, we usually mention the time during which we are taking it.
Adhya Brahmana; dvithiya praarthe
Swetha varaaha kalpe
Vaivasvatha manvanthre
Ashtavimsathi thame
Kaliyuge prathame paathe and then we continue with the geographical location, Jamboodhveepa, Baratha Varushe.
Adhya Brahmanaha indicates the present Brahma, because his post keeps changing, Divithiya Pararthe, Pararte is half, Dwithiya paratha indicates second half, It is said to be 1st day of the 51st year namely Swetha Varaha Kalpe Vaivasvatha manvanthre, because it ruled by the 7th Manu, Vivaswaan or the Surya, Ashtavimshathi thame, - Chatur Yuga which comes for 28th time, and Kali Yugae Prathame Padhe, denoting 1st quarter of the Kali Yuga, which we are in right now and then we narrow down till that day’s star before completing the sankalpa.
Well that it. This is the overall representation of the huge time scale or the Kaala Chakra, which Hindu scriptures have given us. You know whatAs the Kaala chakra, keeps rotating infinitely through cycles of creation and destruction, ourselves, the Athma or the soul caught in the cycle of samsara also keeps on taking infinite rebirths, Punarapi Jananam Punarapi Maranam, repeated birth and death until it attains the permanent abode, known as Moksha or the Salvation.

Awesome explaination. This understanding is very important for a follower of Sanatana Dharma, single incident has different stories, seems contradictory to laymen, henceforth creating misunderstanding between various faction in Dharma. As all them are true as long as it is from a realised person but from diffrrent time line.

311 Trillion years for 1 Lord Brahma to end his tenure ... OMG , shows we are not even dust . As mentioned here Moksha or Mukthi is the only way to escape this cycle of Births and deaths ... 1. If Brahma has to cover 100 years for the end of Universe (Remember 2 kalpa makes 1 day), how many days are there to cover 1 year ?? For eg. Earth has 365/366 days
2. Does Lord Vishnu takes same Avatar in every Chatur/Maha yugas ?? And does the same stories of RadhaKrishna/Mahabaratha/Ramayana repeats in each Chatur yuga ??

2. even if understood difficult to explain,
3. even if explained difficult to comprehend,
4. even if comprehensible only selected few in billion population can follow,
5. even in the few, more than 90% would not be bothered by these mind-boggling Kala calculations since no one can verify.
6. Finally, the few who understand, comprehend, explain etc. either get confused or confuse others to bring back things to square one, namely, "I am not bothered in which age / yug I find myself now".

Similarly, how do you know that Stephen Hawking was right about his theory of relativity and quantum mechanics? How do you also know that he was right about the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics? Again, elementary. Go study them, find out, go through the process as explained by the theorist or Veda Vyasa, and you will know how true and accurate they are.

I think the adharma is nothing but the expanding dark energy which will eventually be ended when the universe ends. All this deep information written down thousands of years ago gives me chills.
The numbers should be:
Sathya Yuga - 1,728,000 (and not 17,28,000)
Tretha Yuga - 1,296,000 (and not 12,96,000)
Dwapara Yuga - 864,000 (and not 8,64,000)
Kali Yuga - 432,000 (and not 4,32,000)

If span between Dwapar Yug and Kali Yug is considered to be 864,000 years how come Ramayan is only considered to be a few thousand years older than Mahabharat?
Some people said we are living in the ascending Dwapar yuga which is best explained by Mahayogi Jaggi Vasudev ji SADHGURU in his video.

We find a mistake in calculation of years for a yugaa 1yr= ,not 365 days 1yr = 365×365 which means ours one year is equal to one day of devas. So the years must be calculate by the devavarshaas so year of devas is equal to 365 human years
Sanjeev Sreehari.. No it’s not mistake.. See for instance Kali Yuga is said to have 4,32,000 human years or 12000 Deva years.. The value mentioned in the video 4,32,000 is Human years which were already multiplied by 365 to convert to human years..

Beautiful explanations, HOWEVER our Earth is NOT an absurd spinning globe flying in some imaginary space. We live INSIDE of Brahmand that is an enclosed structure in a shape of gigantic egg (Brahm-and = the egg of Lord Brahma) where there are 14 parallel flat realms of existence. We are on the 8th disc called Bhumandala, disc of Mother Bhumi. Bhumandala consists of 7 concentric islands called dhveepa, each surrounded by a concentric ocean. Jamboodhveepa is the innermost concentric island in the middle of which there is a golden Mount Meru. Our known Earth is the second habitable region South from Mount Meru and it is called Bharata Varsh. No flying balls, no endless black cosmos, no galaxies, no supernovas, no red dwarfs, no big bang. The sun is small and local, the same with the moon, they are mystical Lights on the sky (and NOT any balls in some imaginary cosmos), stars are tiny and also a mystical source of lights. So called planets like Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury are just wandering stars.

2) 1 Chaturyuga X 1000 = 1 Kalpa.
But if we multiply both the answers are different. Can u please decode it.

I'm not sure how can a yuga last for 432000 human years, when humans life span is come down to 50years minimum, It's hard to believe max people live for 100years these days if the person would have maintained good habits and healthy life style...
Today's generation with technology everywhere which is taking over all the youths by going into indoors...we hardly see kids playing on streets like 80s and 90s kids...most of the people leaving there agricultural land and coming over to city life style to make more money,It's happening everywhere in another 50years don't think so there would be people who knows how to cultivate food...anyhow this my view...let the truth be told as truth to people about Yugas...
