Excellent Video Just Planes! Thank you for taking me into the cockpit of a DC-8, it's one of the first ones i've seen. and I had no idea that you could transport Horses in Cargo planes! :D
They used to wake me up when landing at Lasham in the wee small hours.... my caravan was about 150 metres from the runway. The old Dan Air maintenance facility was in constant use by many minor airlines from obscure African nations! Repainting was accomplished by Scotchbrite pads and tanker loads of cellulose thinners. After an engine run, the airfield was carpeted with small brown rectangles. I used to run round the field in a wooden version of a Mini Moke, scooping up carloads.. those were the days.. 1998 to be precise
@ltpigeon9302 Lol, just wondering how you thought horses were transported. I had a flash in my mind after reading your comment, of horses sharing the cabin with passengers in a regular passenger plane and I nearly fell out of my seat laughing..
