I owe you big time. I heard this song a year ago to the month. I was just browsing TH-cam and heard it. I wasn't that great, wasn't even a freshman yet. I hardly practiced. Then I heard this song.... It changed everything. My band director says that everyone has a moment when they realize they want to be good. This was mine. I heard myself in this song.. And I wasted about $100 in sheet music right after getting a bunch of stuff to practice. I practiced like crazy every day. I have about 35 scales proficiently memorized, with triads on each for several chords. I'm now one of the best baris in the state and I have never been so happy. All thanks to you. I found this song tonight and immediately started tearing up. I've been looking for it ever since because I wanted to thank you. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. This song, and therefore you, have changed my life.
This song rallied the strength inside of me to ask out a girl, which was a huge feat for me… we had an absolutely incredible time together when we were dating, or at least I thought… in 3 months we broke up due to characteristic flaws and I’ve been hurt for a while…I often think about how things could’ve been better, how I could have been better, but you only get one chance in life to make certain choices… this song really resembles love, it has you listen to the enjoyable and peaceful parts of love and the bad sections, even having some of the song relying on sadness but slowly rise up to true love. Thank you for this song. To that person, I know I’ve sent you this before, and things could’ve always been better, I wish they were, because you were the best person I ever met.
So um yeah. This is hella tender. Both nostalgic, intimate, and saddening. It is beautiful. It also sounds like you could hear it playing in an episode of Cowboy Bebop.
Hi. My name shows my love for this damn game. A decade ago I heard this cover and I dusted off my alto and figured it out by ear. It’s been 10 years and this just was recommended. I think it’s time to dust off my sax again.
I just keep forgeting that i wasnt in love and i've ever been. This song is perfectly describe when you love someone so much and you couldnt help, but left everything unspoken "For a love that wouldn't bloom, for the hearts that never played in tune" -- bread --
FFIV and FFVI (2&3 on the SNES) were the first two FF I ever played. This song is bringing back so much nostalgia with an amazing spin. Excellent work.
@@thechurchofshulkanism1077 I had to do that once to get over MY sadness. I kept thinking I was hearing my dad and there was a dead guy up there too. That was a really weird day, all things considered.
10 years ago I played this on my bluetooth speakers nearly everyday during closing hour when the sun set. I was working in center city with my mom in a lunch truck , people passing by would tune in and bring with them a sense of jazziness vibe. Philadelphia.
this song makes me feel something i never felt before yet it makes me sad but not sad but happy but yet not happy i feel like crying every time i hear it, this song makes me feel like... i cant describe it , its just just like im away from all my prblems in life
This instrument and the way everything fit together in this cover felt...perfect for the song. Dunno how else to explain it but this instrument just feels right for this theme. Amazing job, thank you so much for sharing this. I am quite impressed!
i was busy on a different tab. and when this came up randomly i thoguht "wow, that sounds awesome. i better give it a like". and when i returned to this tab, i notice i had already given it a like. so now i'm commenting this.
never heard this on saxophone rendition... it's interesting. kinda reminding of cowboy bebop and Yoko Kanno's pieces but also... all the emotions that the Final Fantasy IV story has... thank you.
I am utterly stunned that your channel, which contains THE premiere treasure trove of Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger music on the internet, has so little exposure! I gotta get reddit on this bandwagon. All you tumblr and twitterers out there, what are you DOING? Get this guy some much deserved exposure! (That being said, it is kinda cool being among the few elites to have stumbled upon the musical equivalent of El Dorado :P )
I know this video is a little more than 4 years old, but I can't avoid commenting. I almost cried in happiness at 2:52 as I screamed: OBLIVION! OBLIVION! OBLIVION! (not too loud since I was listening this at 1 : 30 am). I'm a big fan of Piazzolla; in fact, right now, I'm composing an 8-bit medley of Castlevania themes with the style of Astor Piazzolla. Uematsu - Piazzolla FTW! BTW, has any of you listened to the piece "Thriller" by Astor Piazzolla? It surely sounds a lot like the Final Fantasy battle themes. Here, check it out: th-cam.com/video/Jtok5ycokkk/w-d-xo.html Congratulations, sschafi1, my mouse pointer got stuck to the like button.
An image of a futuristic world, a man gazing at a planet with his feet up inside his spaceship and smoking a big cigar and just admiring what he is seeing is what i get hearing this hahah!
IV has a lot of fans because it really started defining a lot of Final Fantasy tropes and also had a more advanced story than the other games did. Also theme of love.
I owe you big time.

+Ryan Eyster Fuckin right on, dude. Well done. Inspirational hardly begins to describe Nobuo Uematsu's work.
+Ryan Eyster Right on, bro.
+Ryan Eyster Why isn't this the top comment?
Damn it! Those onion peeling ninjas snuck up on me again :`)
definitely a life-changing song in more ways than one :)
This is one of the greatest final fantasy covers of all time, and it’s already over 10 years old 😭😭😭
The BEST version of this song, hands down. Makes me cry.
Definitely top 5 most beautiful unofficial covers I’ve heard.
Which are the other 4? Love this cover indeed. :))
We just used this piece as the processional for our wedding on Friday - it was perfect. Thank you!!

I can't get over how insanely good this is. I need more FF sax albums.

Sounds like the kind of song to drink away your sorrows to in a classy bar.
Or a song for a romantic date with your sweetheart in a classy restauran
Except it doesn't go away. Alcohol is not the solution to your problem. It's your sickness of the heart that needs fixing.
@@Dtt4 well said buddy
@@Dtt4 I mean alchohol won't solve it but if you climb a mountain and fight yourself it will.

No words to express what I feel with this song. The saxo version is awesome, thank you!

Beautiful, at 2:53 I can hear some Piazzolla - Oblivion part, am I the only one?
I came from this comment. Also, I can hear Obliivon's base in the song
Excellent arrangement and play! The blend of oblivion just hit the spot!
I have been listening to this on repeat for a while now. It is very beautiful, thank you for this wonderful cover!
This is quickly becoming my favorite slow song in all of Final Fantasy.
Are you live
The transition with Piazzolla is very pretty and a superb mastery of the instrument! Good job !! :)
This is great! gorgeous tone.
This is your greatest work yet.
Final Fantasy IV in New York City?
Fuck off LOL
more like New Orleanes, I'd say.
I'd play that tbh, sounds interesting as fuck

Dear God ... I would say something more, but I'm speechless. Totally moved :)

This is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard
Wow this is really good, I really love the remix at the 2:50 mark! It's a pity this video doesn't get as much views or likes as it deserves!
This is so wonderful!
Blissfull.
Awesome cover! You should really do more saxophone covers, this is epic!!
