My Dad was glued to this show during the 80’s. He was always engaging with it and drawn to the mental games. I always felt that Gordon Burns looked a lot like Glenn Tipton (guitarist and principal songwriter of heavy metal icons Judas Priest)
Needed a slight partition to screen off each others efforts during the Intelligence test. Once one of them wins, it's obvious that the rest of them will take a sneaky peek or two, in a theatrical Mr Bean type of way, to cheat their way to the runner-up points.
I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing that there's no partition between participants. If anything, it's better for editing purposes, because it saves on how much film's needed for the recording since they'll recognise what they need to do; all they need to do by that point is, well, do it as quick as possible.
I wonder why the 1988 series moved the Intelligence test after Response and before Observation and Physical Ability. I'm just so used to the six-test format being Mental Agility-Response-Observation-Physical Ability-Intelligence-General Knowledge.
I once scored 124 SD 15 on an accurate online I.Q. test, it said my best section was general knowledge. I thought I was quite good at maths but I am perhaps not as good at maths as I once thought!
An all time favourite programme. Especially the assault course finale.
Outrageous how they gave women a head start on the assault course
Martin Love is 26? Jesus! Being a computer analyst must be tough that or living in Bradford.
Being one of those things is bad enough.
Both at the same time, though, whoof...one foot in the grave by 40.
“But I’m 48!”
“Just read the autocue Martin,”
😂
He Bonce was going very
Thin at 26🙀😫😖🤯
I wish Challenge would show these older episodes.
They should
2:37 Barry really rocking that Colombian drug baron look
Anyone else feel like they all lied about their age ahah add at least 10 years to all of them
Can you Imagine the modern generation on a show like the krypton factor 😂😂😂
The Intelligence test here was perhaps my favorite of the series.

I like this Intelligence test, as there isn't really another one like it!
In the book version, the question at 22:33 was replaced by "Henry VIII met Francis I on which famous field in 1520 near Calais?"
All in there 60s now
Great video

Controversial opinions make this show excellent
Barry, Martin, Elizabeth, & Derek are the contestants on this episode of the British TV series Krypton Factor.
Notice the different order of the rounds.
