Fully agree with you wrt to the problem of identification, and recently, some seem to over identify, for example, during Zoom sessions, some would include "she/her" etc behind their names to declare their identities ...

It is an interesting phenomenon; this need to identify as something by proclaiming oneself as a 'he,' 'she,' or 'they'. However, using 'he' or 'she' is a means of clear communication; but one that is, at least for 99% of the human species, based on biology. It is the need to identify oneself AND others as anything--gender, race, political affiliation, religion, nationality, etc.--that is the source of suffering, discontent, prejudice, discrimination, and hatred. (Sigh)

I disagree with the idea of being careful politically, I think we all must take a stand and be involved on some level to prevent the hunger games from materializing in the full Monty, however I agree with your main premise here, about our identification with the me, how our story began and evolved. This is a sound therapeutic starting point to recovery of any kind.

Thank you for your comment. I agree with your first statement. I'm reminded of the saying: Nothing matters; yet everything counts. However, the purpose of this channel is to provide some useful information about spiritual awakening and clearing.

If I were to articulate - “taking a stand” can be done “lightly”. By this I mean, if I have a political belief, I can phrase it in my mind as “according to my past experiences and thoughts, I believe in X. However, I hold this lightly. Just because I have recurring thoughts about this, does not mean what I know is the ultimate truth. That would be silly. At the same time, I have this strong belief in my mind and opposing beliefs cause unpleasant sensations throughout my body. BOTH are true! How can this be? This can only make sense if I acknowledge my current belief, i.e recurring thoughts, and sensations, AND be on the quest to find the full story. This cannot be the full story because I know that my beliefs are a product of only MY thoughts and experiences in my little sliver of the world. So I acknowledge my current state and will continue to find out more till I get closer to the truth, which will be beyond mere words.”
That turned out to be a longer post than I intended 😅. Thoughts?

@@A22by7 The way to practice this is to notice your recurring thoughts and realize that those beliefs are just thoughts. That does not mean that we should ignore injustice, for example. There is a saying that I like: nothing matters; but everything counts. From the perspective of the absolute; nothing matters. But from the perspective of the relative (i.e., the phenomenological universe, everything counts. As human beings, we all need to recognize our interdependence with each other and this planet; and make decisions that benefit all; not just our 'me's'. Information gathering and an openness to evidence and data are important as we live our lives. Thank you for your comment.

healthylife1499: I disagree with you as well.
If you believe that the dysfunctional political system is ingulfed with identity, then it requires one's own trap of identification before being involved for change. The same drama shouldn't continue by the name of involvement.
