My kiddoes love making s'mores. We use a small box and wrap it in black construction paper and aluminium foil. Some years, Ill have 4 or 5 boxes. We set the boxes outside our back classroom door for about 3-4 hours. Happy Camping ! 💙
I’m a retired first grade teacher. I did butterflies every spring. When you attach the cloth with the chrysalis to the top of the net use tape with the sticky side up. Attach at the edge then gently tape to the top of the net. Hope that makes sense. Hang in there with the end of the year crazies!

I use an Erin Condren - already got mine for next school year! I have tried others but came back to EC within a month. Love that its so teacher friendly! I would love to do a "plan with me" style video or just share more about my planning once I get started at my new school. Will definitely have to figure it out a bit first :)

Exciting! I taught Kinder for 3 years and now teach first grade! So the reverse of your career. Lol Kinder is such a special grade. The kids grow so much during that time. It’s a critical time to teach them to love school. You’re setting the tone for the rest of their educational career. I know you’ll be amazing!

Hi Lauren! If you ever do butterflies again, you can get a kit that comes with a little stand to hang the little paper on and you can actually tape or pin the paper they’ve attached themselves to, to the side of the butterfly “cage”☺️
Exciting times!! I find it so weird that you have to have different licences and qualifications from state to state. Here in England, you qualify as a teacher, and you can just teach anywhere in the country...no extra tests.

Non-fire way to create smores- use the sun! Kids can create a STEM contraption using tin foil and a shoebox and can cook the smores that way.

You can make the s’mores and put then in your car in aluminum foil and they will be melted by the end of the day from the sun!
We did smores in my fifth grade class, but we microwaved the smores!
