The song is based on Plaisir D'Amour, as you know. But Elvis's version loses the main hook of the piece on the third line of each verse: "'cos I can't help, falling..." with the chords , F, G, A minor, instead of using a D chord with an F# root, followed by G chord with an F root, and then a C chord with an E root. So much more melodic. It bugs me every time I hear the Elvis version.
