I'm sorry for what happened. I feel for you. I also worked in Canada in 2021 as an IT manager, scoring around 470. It was low due to my age. I knew I couldn't make it because I already saw the trend of the scores going up post-COVID, so I left and moved to a different country in 2022 where I'm already a permanent resident today. I realize it’s not easy, but we have to be prepared for whatever comes and keep moving forward with our lives.

It's sad to hear you are going through this. I hope it pulls through very soon. As you've rightly said, you could have explored the provincial nomination pathway. I came to Canada as a student in 2015. After accessing our options, I realized quickly I could only get the PR via provincial nomination. At that time, ON selected people from the pool with scores as low as 356, provided you studied in ON and have a job (either NOC 0, A, B or C), and I was working at a call center; my point was 428. That was how I got selected under the Human Captial Job offer program. I got my PNP within 6 weeks, increasing my CRS scores to over 990. I got my PR 11 months later and got my citizenship last year. I encourage you to weigh all your options and look at other provinces, but the province where you studied will still be your best bet. I can't wait to hear your testimony!

This world is crazy place, your facing this in Canada but I grew up in Kenya as refugee from Somalia, my younger siblibgs were born in Kenya in a refugee camp to a refugee parents, Kenya government issues refugee ID to all refugees, the IDs of refugees kids, specially my siblings who are born in Kenya always says the birth place of the refugee parent rather than the kid's actual birth place and there is dark reason behind this, which is a calculated decision by Kenya government to deny future citizenship to those refugee kids who were born to refugee parents but born in Kenya.
Now I'm Canadian citizen I tried to sponsor my siblings but their documents are messed up and it's effecting their opportunity to be sponsored to Canada by me.

I moved to Canada in 2009 and just listening to the process you went through and the score just exhausts me😢.How did things get this complicated?
I remember at the university, international students were even encouraged to apply for PR. There used to be lot's of services ready to help. Even at the public library there was someone stationed there to help with PR applications. I remember applying for mine in February and getting it October.
Everything seemed to flow so smoothly. Those days we never had youtube videos like these. Infact i remember Canada was not even popular especially for people who wanted to move with families. It was more popular for students. People in my country prefered the US and UK because aparently Canada had harsh weather. But now!!!! My country mates are moving in numbers and struggling to get that PR.

  • @mscheetofighter9437
    @mscheetofighter9437 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

The immigration system has been very volatile in the past 4 years or so. And, I think one of the biggest contributors to all these sky high CEC scores are international students. There are so many international students that now pretty much everyone has Canadian work experience and Canadian college diplomas, so that's no longer enough to stand out. Now you either need to have an in-demand job, speak French or qualify for a provincial nomination.
I've been in Canada for 7 years and with my current profile (Canadian college educated, 25yo, 5 years of Canadian work experience, great English...) I wouldn't qualify to immigrate now, well, at least I wouldn't make the cut, I looked it up. I came here with a plan A, B, C and D and because of how much things changed, I ended up getting PR through different means (limited time new program, TR to PR).
If you're a young person without a lot of work experience or prior education in your home country, it's SO hard to immigrate now. Even if you have an in-demand job, those are subject to change at any time for any reason so it's almost impossible to plan! I love Canada, but hell, it's very hard to stay here now. My heart goes to people who've been here for years and won't get to stay even if they want to. This is seriously effed up.

Getting B1 in French allows you to get work permit extension through francophone mobility program, if you have a job/ will have a job.
Another option if you’re running out of time is work permit extension (which will get rejected eventually) for implied status so you can continue working for 2-5 more months. (You could study French too for B1 in that meantime)

It's a shame that so many people got caught up in this immigration situation, however that is how immigration is all over the world nowadays. People don't want to hear this, but governments make decisions about what they think is best for their country and can change their minds at any time. For too long the narrative was out there that immigrating to Canada was easy and once you have arrived in Canada Permanant residence is automatic. It reached the point that many international students thought PR was an entitlement. There are other countries that are out there that can give a good quality of life as well. People need to have an open mind.

Hi dear!! I am one of your subscribers. Recently i have been enrolled as international graduate student for 1 years madters program at Crandall University in Mincton, New Brunswick Canada and accordingly granted with study permit and necessary student visa and will be landed to canada soon. Now i want to apply visa for my spouse and only child as my dependent and we know my spouse will get Open Woek Permit and my child will get free study till his age upto 18 year. Now my question is in the ircc portal online under which visa category should i select to start both of their application as spouse and child of an international graduate student in canada? Your genuine opinion and suggestions will be highly appreciated. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you very much.

Subject: Query Regarding Visa Application Category for Spouse and Child
    Helloo Dear,
I am writing to seek clarification on the appropriate visa application category for my spouse and child.
I have recently been enrolled in a Master’s program at Crandall University in New Brunswick, Canada, for the January 2025 intake, and I have already been granted the necessary study permit and visa. As per my understanding, the spouse of an international graduate student typically qualifies for an open work permit, allowing them to work full-time, and children under the age of 18 are eligible for free education in Canada.
Could you please confirm which visa category I should select when applying for my spouse and child through the IRCC online portal? I would appreciate guidance on the following:
    1. The appropriate category for my spouse to apply for an open work permit.
    2. The appropriate category for my child to accompany me and attend school in Canada.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and support.
    Sincerely,
    Md. Khorshed Anwar
