I was in Target in the NECA section and thought "Kyle is right, I need one E.T." Grew up watching E.T. So I bought one and I like it a lot. Nice box, cool extras and no mistaking that it's E.T. I didn't realize there were so many versions, though. Mine has a blue flannel robe like E.T. came back to Earth in the 90's and joined Pearl Jam. Gotta say, I never watched ALF and Gizmo is awesome, but E.T. is my guy. Love Reece's Pieces too. Haven't had a Reece's Cup in a while but I'm addicted to those Sticks.
I Love all three equally if I had to choose. 1.Gismo because he's so cute 2. E.T. because he's quite won't get us into trouble every week and cost us a lot of 💰. 3. Alf I love that Alf's a party animal. He's 3rd because of the trouble he'd get us in and the expenses.
Great review. Now that you mentioned it E.T. scared the sh.. out of me when I was a kid. And I remember when my parents took me to see it I was so scared that I poked a hole in my soda cup and would peek through it here and there until my father said he's a puppet and he doesn't hurt people and then I watched the rest of the movie. But that scene where Elliott found him in the field and E.T. let out that scream I was petrified in my seat 😂
I saw that ET at my local target the other day. It was cool to see it. If I had a choice between ET and Alf, I would probably go with Alf. He seems like he's a lot more fun than ET. The Reeses that are holiday themed are better than the traditional cups. The Eggs for Easter, The Christmas trees, and the hearts for Valentines Day are all amazing. However, I will say this, the regular big cups (sans the chips or puffs or any of that stuff) are still really good.
My experience with ET was similar to yours. I’m pretty sure it was the first movie I saw in the theater as a kid. It was never my favorite, but I wanted one of these to have the representation in the collection. I got the one that has a blue coat, the Speak and Spell , and a phone. I think it’s called Telepathic ET or something like that.
I hear you on the cups. My son loves them. But when I tried them the chocolate didn't taste the same. You need another ALF shirt for ET. They'll look like a pair of bowlers

I used the store credit plus Target points and I think I coughed up $6 extra to buy him. I really only bought him now because I had an alien itch and Alf has yet to show up to my store. Thankfully, Matt over at Nerdzoic got Alf in stock and I also had some credit with them and got $5 bucks off. He should be here this week and the Alf void in my heart will be full. I agree with your arrangement of Alf, Gizmo then ET. There are a lot of NECA pegwarmers but I think ET is going to be the biggest one this year.
ET is #1 for me. Still one of my favorite movies ever. My plush ET was a loving companion as a kid, and he’s with me still.
iI´m 45 and oOne of my oldest memories is being in a theater with my Dad an of those flying bikes. Happy to share that expirience with you.
