- It has been a great few weeks in the UK. Plenty of travels, visiting video gaming shops / stores and grabbing some pickups. I attempt to summarise everything in this video and go through what I've collected. A huge thanks to the below folks for gifts n' retro love.
Us blokes are on average pretty pants at talking about MENTAL HEALTH. If you're feeling down please do something about it and have a talk with someone. There are lots of places that may help but I've included details of an amazing Men's club below that is around the country.

Wow that Forgotten worlds looked amazing Ed. Love it. Ive been thinking of using Claire to repair my original Gameboy. Talking of Asterix, did you ever play those adventure books where you had a dice and you had magic potion cards, you basically followed different paths in a book and you could have different endings. Great bit of nostalgia. Won one for a fiver on eBay, trying to get a second one, they want £50 for it. Tempted 😂
Hey Jools! I hope you're keeping well. Wow, what a place Forgotten Worlds was - it felt more like a warehouse in terms of the scale of the place. Would love to head back there over the next few years but get saving up in the meantime.
I can't recommend her enough. She has been superb from start to finish. Came up with some options for my spectrum that I hadn't considered, that made it even better. Very reasonable pricing in my opinion. It's just nice to know that your items will be cared for. I'm sure she can help you out if you drop her a msg.
Wow, you've triggered a long lost memory. I've 90% sure I played the Asterix card game but in France (I'm half French so spent a lot of time growing up there) with my cousin. Sounds like it has gone crazy in price. I looked for some vintage Asterix figures and they pricey too - I didn't pull the trigger in the end. On a linked theme I've been playing the Asterix Slap Em game recently - it's not innovative BUT it so much fun to beat up the Romans haha. The art style is incredible.

Game gear looks mint now well done repair bear Claire ! Glad you had a nice road trip. Those events look great ! Everything looks so organised behind you (I feel like I always say this 😅) nice to see you enjoy a beer. I’m strictly fizzy pop only in the week 😂. Some switch pickups yes! I didn’t get on well with oragami king but would like to experience the thousand year door .
It's so good mate. How much better is the GG with an upgraded screen.
At a distance it may look organised but there's a lot of toot on the floor and wedged between shelves haha. It was one of my last days of hols so I permitted myself some beverages haha - back to work now though = Boo :0(. Chat soon.
Awesome gift from james, used to love top trumps, definitely a new rabbit hole 😂.
Huge fan of rygar, didn't know it had made it to the lynx.
Forgotten worlds looks awesome, could spend hours and a small fortune in there.
Huge fan of lemmings, decent version on the mastersystem.
Been playing cloud master a lot, great fun.

Rygar isn't too bad at all. Would recommend it. I was a bit disappointed with Toki so wasn't sure how Rygar may play.
Forgotten Worlds was crazy. Need to head back there at some point - but need to do some saving in the meantime!
I'll have to play some Lemmings. First played it on the PC back in the day and loved it!
I need to get stuck into Cloud Master. I can't remember if it was the same title but though RetroRedSteve played it and reached some Duck Boss that whopped him - some well timed welsh expletives made it hilarious.

Love the long videos, Ed, It's something to have on while I sort the office admin. I am pretty sure I'm going to soon be sending "Repair Bear" a Mega CD to look at; she comes highly recommended, so I will definitely be sorting that out for sure. I'm going to be hopefully attending the "Black Country Gaming Market" this year, are you hoping to go aswell? Also, great additions on the DS side. Loved the store walk! What an incredible place. Enjoyed as always buddy 🙂

Clare has been incredible. The spectrum +3 project was a biggie and it's a stunner! I'm convinced it's better than it was back in the day but that's likely due to us having a bit of a pants telly back then haha. I couldn't recommend her enough - an absolute diamond.
Fantastic - I am indeed! I'm involved in a local toy fair which sods law is the same day so will have to get there early.

I was up in forgotten worlds in October, some amazing stuff in there, really friendly people too, well worth the visit, But still an awesome place.

Some beautiful shelves on display there Ed (the shops and yours). I could spend ages in shops like that browsing 😍By the way if you are after Dick Tracy for the C64, it ain't very good 😆

What a shop; I was there for about 2 hours and genuinely barely scratched the surface. Would live to get back there.

What a place Forgotten Worlds looks, has to be the best retro shop in the country, you must have wanted to spend big on all that Gameboy stuff🤣
Focussing on just what you want to play is definitely the way to go I think, I've done so much clearing out the past 12 months
KOF must be a challenge on the GBA but lovely pickup mate👍
Hey James! Forgotten Worlds was an incredible place. I was there for a couple of hours but easily could have been there all day. They were incredibly helpful and even brought further items down from the upstairs area I was interested in. Was nice having the tubs to myself to go through as opposed to going through the same tubs at the manic London event.
I do admire your focus James. I've got rid of a few titles I know I won't play (or replay) this year but there's more to go.
Yes KOF is arguably more of a shelf piece with a fairly gimmicky approach to the title that anything else.

Great additions mate. Repair bear does an awesome job. Some master system goodness there. When I see Alan's booth at markets I'm always surprised that you see such expensive games just out with the lesser priced stuff.

Very nice handheld games there Ed. Nice to see you grab KOF for gba. The second game is much better. I have a loose cart but a complete copy can be pretty tricky to track down.

I've never heard of ship of fools ed buddy. That shop looks awesome bud, I wish these places were closer... then again for the sake of my marriage its prob best they aint 😂 I absolutely love dynamite dux, it used to get abit of hate. I got loads of great memories of it. Prob helps I loved Howard the duck 😂 be great to see a sms update vid and the picked up vids sound great. That alien syndrome is a pal bud, I'm sure it looks the same in America aswel apart from the manual, I could be wrong though 😂

Howard the Duck! A blast from the past. Need to rewatch that one. Think I had the game for the speccy but can't remember much about it.
Def need to do that SMS vid. Would be good to get SMS collectors such as yourself commenting on what I'm missing in terms of decent repayable titles.

Popped back for the rest of the vid' I needed Latte for my Cwoffeee which is being drank from your Mug, so watching from 20 minutes on with said brew in hand. I see you invested in a spunk stained STARFOX DS, I guess the previous owner loved it a bit to much. VIOLENT SOLDIER* is awesome, supreme grab, it's hard to get complete and in good shape, so well met (I've gone all Elder Scrolls on you) squire!
Ah, I'm chuffed that mug is getting some use Ste!! Will keep a spare for you just in case :0). Starfox is indeed carrying some juices haha.

I'm definitely stuck in the Dick Tracy collectibles journey. A lot of items - toys, cards, books, cassettes, cards, clothes etc. I even found a mug that has his pistol as the handle. madness haha.
Getting slightly more calculated on the SMS pick ups. When going through I noted a few I thought I had that I didn't. About a further 12 I think on the list - no big hitters :0)
