I've had my echo srm 225 for almost 6 years and I love it the only thing I've ever had to do to it was change the spark plug but other than that I've had absolutely no problems what so ever I appreciate that you guys make great equipment I can rely on to get the job done I can always count on pushing the primer bulb on the trimmer 3 times and it always starts on the first pull thank you for making such great reliable equipment

@@AequitasSaints there’s one video where the guy takes out the mesh arrestor thing and he said it stopped leaking but it voids the warranty. Apparently Echo knows about the problem but says it’s fine.

It will last, with good care, at least ten years. As long as you warm it up before each use, it will treat you well.

I just bought a repair kit and the filter has a heavy paper sleeve on it.
Does the sleeve insert along with the filter?

If I can suggest one thing and I own 2 srm 266 trimmers I was just this week in the market for a trimmer for my wife and went to echo and they didn't know the weight on the trimmers I went to husky and they were super helpful knew the weight and sold me a husqvarana 322l I just wish echo came out with a good lightweight trimmer with females in mind .... my trimmer is a beast but it weighs like a beast

Trimmer will not just start. They are hard enough to start normally. Don't worry about the spark plug firing the engine off.
