Maybe they Bought them for high speed travel, and then realized they have just one high speed railway, so they used it as commuter trains (Just a joke and no issue - Being from country with NO high speed railway but with high speed trains I cannot mean it as an issue :D)
@@user-ib9pz6id5b Tecnically those trains are designed also for travel between cities and there are the same models. Maybe motors have another specification. Even trains that runs less than 140-160km/h looks like "fast machines", becuase when you buy new trains, it is needed to have low low aerodynamic resistance, because of low electricity usage. More electricity use to ride train gives bigger prices of using it. In Poland we have trains that are use in High Speed Railways, but they are called ED 250 Pendolino. They are much more better with aerodynamic resistance.

The design made it look like it was meant for high speed long distance travel, not inner city mass transit.
