I recently shaved my head in solidarity and have been wearing wigs. I have a very curly wig that needed some tlc. Not only that, but I have straight hair, so I had no clue what to do with it. Thanks to your video the curls are sleek and defined. Thanks so much!
Thanks, this worked for my kinky curly wig. I didn't microwave it, I wrapped the bag in a towel and used a hairdryer for like 15mins. Then after I washed out the conditioner I put mousse and oil on it then left to dry on a towel. I was so nervous about combing it out cos I didn't want to lose the curls (my curls are tighter than the ones u have in this video) but this really worked 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
This is nice but what if u just rap it in the rap bag without using a hand dryer won’t it work?

I hope everybody realize that if you have metal combs inside ur wig, you had better take them out before you put ur wig in the microwave.

Ladies please don't laugh @ my question ... I don't have a microwave but a small oven.. The wig combs are pretty small just what can happen?? 🤔🤨🤔
Christine Grundmann please rather soak the hair in conditioner over night. It’s not safe for you to put wig combs in an oven 🙈

Amazing video! Hopefully it will prove very useful too as I have a curly wig that desperately needs some attention. Since mine's synthetic, though, I think I'll leave out the microwave! Your tip of leaving it with conditioner in a bag overnight eases my mind greatly on that point. I'll let you know how well this works on synthetic hair (minus the microwave). Btw, if anyone's interested, you can get both traditional conditioner and leave in conditioner in sulphate-free varieties. I'd strongly urge you to do this because sulphates do enough damage to natural hair which has oils from your scalp to help it heal, but wigs which don't get any oil would suffer in the long term from sulphate conditioner. I've got both ordinary and leave in conditioners which are sulphate free and they're not at all expensive.

Thanx! My wig just came and it looks very dry and nothing like what the TH-cam influencers made it appear. They always showed the wig after they have already made it look nice. So when I open the box I did not expect to see such a dry mess of a wig. I do not want my money to go to waste so I appreciate your video maybe I can make the wig look much nicer. I am actually going to try your Technique now and hopefully I can save the wig.

@@Nwabiesor yes...its a short curly bob from RPG hair. Currently dry and frizzy.
Joycr Waites co wash it then apply leave in conditioner then brush it with a Denman brush or something similar then leave it to air dry.
Maybe your wig is synthetic

Hello, I really enjoyed your review I tried it out, Because I had a human hair wig and I was using mousse throughout the hair and it became so hard when drying, But when I used your method it brought my hair back to life and the curls came back too. @@muinatibijoke2247 yes. I co washed (waded with conditioner instead of shampoo) the hair instead of washing it with shampoo. Then applied leave in conditioner

I wanna know what happens when you wear it after 2days.. because I get ma curls back same way with conditioner, after wearing for just one day it tangles again..
pinksoul _oby my hair doesn’t tangle that much. They say you must treat curly hair like your own hair. Wash it regularly and store it properly aswell coz it prune to tangles. After wearing it I always sprits it with plain water before putting it away also apply leave in conditioner. A friend of mine uses mousse for her curls to hold for longer you can try that aswell.

Rather co wash (with conditioner only) to give the hair as much moisture possible because most shampoos dry the hair abs strip them of moisture.

Coconut oil. But that only works for me in summer. That's because it solidifies in the cold. I also use grapeseed oil. That one works all seasons

It depends on the number of times you wear it and product build up if you put a lot of products .If you do not have microwave deep condition the hair over night .

Sonja Deloach there is no way of preventing it hun because even with your own natural hair you have to revive the curls once in a while because things like pillow cases ,friction , clothing etc cause hair to frizz.

If you don't have a microwave use a large Ziploc bag. Drench the hair in conditioner, comb through as you saw on the video, and put it in a ziplock bag. Be sure to squeeze all the excess air out of the bag. Now, you have two options.Number one... If you're in a rush wrap the Ziploc bag with the conditioned hair in squeezed out air tightly like a burrito. Then wrap a towel around it and let it sit for 15 minutes. If you have a little more time, just let the bag sit for a couple of hours. the key is being sure to squeeze out any excess air! I find that you get the same results. Hope this helps!

Any type
You can use any conditioner you like - but I'd advise you to make it a sulphate free one. Sulphates do damage even to natural hair, for wigs, which don't get the natural healing oils from your scalp, I wouldn't try it, not if you want to prolong its life.
