Dishonored 2 is one of the best games ever made. Period. I don't care at all wether you like this game or not. To me, Dishonored 2 is highly original and innovative. It does things no other game does and looks amazing doing it.
The Dishonored series in general is one of the best game series ever made and extremely addicting.
Even now 7 years later in 2024 it never feels outdated or old
Some call it overrated, some call it underrated, I call it a Masterpiece

I loved the art style, world building and the most amazing and mind boggling time traveling and jindosh mission … something like that I experienced after many years cause of loosing interest in games that how I used to enjoy as a kid.

excellent video. This is one of my favorite games of all time. I have all the collector's edition items, including the full-sized corvo mask and the Emily ring. I'm going to start playing at more on PS5 in the near future. I had deathloop on PS5. It was okay, but all it did was make me want to play Dishonored 2.

Yeah I liked Deathloop and its art direction but it lacked depth and lore. Dishored is full of details while Deathloop isn't.

@@VHS_NEON Dishonored 2 just has a deep captivating world, full of lore. I get completely lost in it. I love rummaging through the empty houses as they look lived-in. Deathloop just looks like it was thrown together by children high on sugar.

I played the game 3 times - first with Corvo, then Emily and then as Corvo with both of their powers.
Definetly had the most fun when playing with all of the powers.

I agree when you said the gameplay and story are supposed to be complimentary. And that it forms part 50% or more of the game itself.
Most reviewers often don't mention how important the story is for full immersion.

Yeah they either talk story or about gameplay but I feel like, truly great games, compliment each other with their stories and gameplay. That's why Bioshock for example is so great. Games like dishonored, Bioshock, Prey, all manage to tell their story not just through cutscenes, but also through the enviourment that you interact with during gameplay.
I can't imagine the massive amout of work that must go into such things during development.

I remember back in the day, my girlfriend at the time surprised me with the original Dishonored game. I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't like it and returned it after 30 mins of gameplay.
I'm not sure why or how but a couple of years later I had the game again. This time I promised to play the game fully. And I fell in love! I got 2 and Death of the Outsider on launch. It's now my favourite game series. Ever.
