How to Measure Klock Werks Sport Flare Windshield Road Glide

  • In this video I will show you how to measure for a Klock Werks Sport Flare windshield on the 2015 Harley Davidson Road Glide. One of the toughest built windshields you will ever buy. The sport flare perfectly follows the contours of the Road Glide fairing and adds beneficial down force while directing most of the wind away from the rider and passenger. Dont forget to check out the Pro touring flare thats slightly bigger and provides even more protection. www.getklocked...

    Thanks for your videos, they are great, but in this video you placed the bottom of the level between your nose and eyes to determine the height of your line of site. But in a 2017 video about windshield measurements you said place the straight edge/level just above your upper lip. For some folks that could be an inch to two inch difference. So which is the best place to place the straight edge/level at? Thanks.

    • @sikbaggers
      @sikbaggers  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The other video you are referring to is for the street glide. You measure different for the two windshields...these instructions were straight from Klock Werks website on both style windshields.

    • @sikbaggers
      @sikbaggers  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @sikbaggers
      @sikbaggers  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thanks man..and no worries...dont mind helping at all. I looked into getting air gauge and at the time could only find one manufacture of a push to connect air gauge so I could run it inline. BUT they only 1/4 inch and I used 5/32 air line. I never did get one and honestly now that its been a few years..Im kinda glad I didnt. I dont think I would have ever looked at it. Once you ride a few times you find the sweet spot. Its just becomes habit really. And being able to adjust on the fly makes it easy add some or let some out and you can feel the ride. I got a switch from AF Kustoms that mounts right above the horn so its not down on the firewall anymore...that makes it even easier.

    I would recommend a dealership that will let you ride with some samples. Measuring has never worked for me, and these windscreens can suck if you get it wrong, with lots of buffeting. The OEM windscreen on my 2021 roadglide sucks.

    If you are looking over a windshield the rain is hitting your face and the bugs are hitting your face. So what is the point of having the shield so low? The Harley mentality continues. It is always more about how it looks then what it does.

    • @sikbaggers
      @sikbaggers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The windshield is designed for the edges to create down force and the flip up in the front redirects the wind up and over you. Have you ever seen a bug shield on a truck? It's the same principle. Ir has nothing to do with looks. It works.
