my lil Buddy man is a good boy lol :D he's been a ham since he was a puppy... but ever since i started doing TH-cam he's really wanted to see what I am doing. Its the camera beeps... he hears the one for the laptop or the one for the GoPro and he immediately wants to come see what I am doing lol i put that velcro dog nature of his to good use and taught him balance and bracing lol... he's actually a great helper! and he's not a bad sheller, either... he found me my first ever tulip shell and my biggest chestnut turban.... digging lol... :D
thank you so much! It was a total blast up there! The tinies were just some of the best selection of neat and nifty weren't;t they? :D i love those tiny lil angel wings sooo much!
Oh Michelle!! I was in heaven watching this. I am a tiny shell freak!! Wish I was there with you. Would have had a blast. Love love love it!! That dog is precious!!! OMG I have to watch over and over!!
the hinged prickly cockles remind me of owl eyes. love all the littles and tinys too. and i really like when you edit in the pictures and articles of the shells, very interesting and informative
thank you! Glad to know that the additional info is a help and interesting too! :D It is worth the extra time it takes - especially so on this shelling trip since there were so many different things we really hadn't seen before :) Im gonna post a poll over on my community tab .... I curious to know which tiny shells people liked the best!
🙋Hello from Cairo Ga. Thank U for the adventure. Awesome finds. I would have loved to be there with U because I would have picked up a lot of those , I think are called turbines. Makes beautiful chimes and the sounds they put off are awesome. I pray God saturates you with many blessings and keeps U safe out there. Enjoy Ur videos very much. Very calming and sweet! 😊Stay safe friend and God bless. See U on Ur next videos. 🥰
thank you so much and welcome to the channel! The Turbans are the star at Honeymoon island... i never though about a wind chime for them before, because their patterns chip off, but... maybe if i coat the outside of them with that hardcoat modpodge it would work?? I will have to experiment! I had been saving jingles up for a chime, but im not sure they will hold up they are so fragile lol... so many fun things we can make with these gifts from the sea! I am glad you're enjoying the videos! pls feel free to share links too - I do my best to share links but it's just me by myself shelling, cleaning, sorting, creating, and editing videos, and my social media game isn't the best lol!
🎉I just enjoy shelling with you. When you picked up those little cockles I thought earrings and you said it. The tinies were great at this beach. In Virginia Beach I find lots of the tusks. I have a jar of them. Thought about making a pirate ship with those and driftwood. But they’d be great for a seahorse design and elephant 🐘 lol. 😂 been putting designs with shells on keepsake wooden boxes. They look amazing. Thanks for sharing your time with us ! ❤Hi Buddy. Woof woof. Sweet baby
Thanks for watching! Stay tuned too - a crafting session with these is coming because i didn't really have time in this second part to include ... but there are some super cool pendants coming that I think you guys are going to like :D Going to the beach is sort of like going to the craft store for me lol
I enjoy ur shelling. Wish i could come and go with you. Im in west virginia. Florida is on my bucket list. You have much wisdom in shells. I appreciate you.
Love your videos. I haven't gone shelling for ages. Did a lot in the 1980's and 1990's when I traveled. Lived in Trinidad for 6 months in 1981 but didn't really shell much. Don't even remember if I found anything. More in the 90's when I went to Hawaii (Bleeding Tooths and Cowries) and Florida. I've had a lot of opportunities (thinking about it) because I also lived near Virginia Beach (Sand Bridge) for a couple of months in the late 70's. I live in NH (not much of a coast) but it's near Maine. I have shelled in Maine at York Beach. I find mostly Moon Shells (itty bitty ones are my favorite) and sand dollars. Need to go back now that's I've found your channel !!!! As far as miniatures ? I've collected miniature ANYTHING since the early 1970's and shells are no exception. Currently I'm into American Girl dolls (18" dolls) and they've inherited a lot of my minis. Just the right size for them ! I have a mini basket full of mini shells that I've picked up over the years. Wish I could take a picture and show you. Think you'd like to see it (do you have a FB page ?). Because I live up North I have to say mini Moon Shells are my favorite. Love finding the little tiny ones when I shell. Thanks for the video and all of the info on shells. I have ONLY about 5 reference books on seashells.
omg i was laughing while i read this post because altho i have never been interested in dolls, i am fascinated by Rainbow High dolls all of a suddenn- and am currently turning a thrifted one into a mermaid that you all will get to meet in a few more weeks when she is done lol! I have a bunch of books on shells :D my favorite is the Ed Petuch fossil atlas for this area, and the withering ton's Floridas Living Beaches... i also adore Ashby Gayle's The Beachcomber's Guide to Fossils, since we have a lot on our beaches in Venice and surrounding area :) you should see all the TINY shark teeth we find down that way -- so fun! one of these days i should show you guys all my books in a video so that people can find good resources and information :D I do have a FB page yes altho it acts up on the laptop 0 but if i charge my iPad i should be able to get it working! would love to see pictures of the tiny bowl!
That's my Hammy Hambone lol! -- every time he hears the beep for the recording, he wants to be included lol :D he fills my non shelling time with all sorts of antics lol!..... won't let me out of his sight, usually needs to be touching me, and always needs to know what I am doing lol!
Sorry about that - I seem to have different sound results across devices and i have been working to tweak that the last few months. On my TV sometimes the sound comes out way louder than it does on the laptop when i am playing things back :) and on my phone i can barely hear the music... but i like to put in music so that it helps with beach wind noise, and so that folks don't fall asleep with my soothing voice and waves crashing 🤣
Fabulous shelling (Part 1 & 2)! Thank You for taking us along 🐚 😎
thanks for watching! it was a super day out there! :D
