This story sucks - capt cooks journal tells a different tale. - He was headed out to sail the outermost circle of the earth, along the ice wall and land called antarctica . He sailed 93- 96000 miles around the ice wall.
Which proves that science is a con job, same as your own con- science proves science is a con job.

No doubt a great sailor, however, it is not mentioned in this mythical video that Spanish and Portuguese sailors had sailed those seas more than 200 years earlier and they had already cartographed those oceans. No mention either of the fact that Cook used Spanish navigation charts obtained when the English sacked and occupied Manila some years earlier than Cook´s voyages. While this propaganda documentary may be very well made and quite convincing in its narration is a disservice to Cook because it dimishes him and his doubless mastery of his craft. He indeed was a great sailor, but he followed others before him. The fact that they were Spanish, the eternal rivals of England, does not justify hidding this very important fact. Cook knew exactly where he was going before hand. It seems the Black Legend is alive still today in the XXI century. The producers of this video may fool some of the people some of the time but do not fool some of us all the time. Any doubts, read the Hispanic explorations of the Pacific (Juan Fernández, Torres, Vaez, etc.), it was called the Spanish Lake for 200 years before Cook sailed it. Respectfully
