I mean....... the whole character development of Maria revealed that the goddess hardly cares about humans, including "the chosen one" wielding her sacred blade. the goddess only cares about the blade itself. hence why Kasel drowned in darkness and so did Frey as she cried out to said goddess only to be met with stony silence
that such an emotional story line. the music matched perfectly with the plot. if this is a series of anime/animation, i might be crying for the whole episodes
