Just did this today. Took my time and got it done in three hours. Recommend buying the o-rings for the fuel injectors, and carb cleaner for the throttle body. That pcv by pass tube disintegrated, so i replaced it also. Did the negative battery cable and replaced the purge valve. My 2011 1.4 eco is running great.
I’m doing this this week because my car tripped a p0171 and I can’t pass inspection. After replacing the pcv hose, the blowing out of the pcv valve cover and vacuum sounds began. So I’ll being doing both. This video and the other one are saving me so much money. Thank you!
Wow! What a great informative video. This is the second time I have replaced an intake on a 1.4 engine. What I found especially helpful was not having to purge the fuel rail. (just set it aside.) I wish 1a auto had a Canadian site for parts. Thank you.
Excellent video- so clear and precise. I’m just a girl and I followed this with ease. Just wondering if you know why I got a “service stabilitrak “ message after performing this repair? Wasn’t there before .
Had to do this and the valve cover thank you for such a great video saved a ton of money doing it myself with online parts local parts cost twice as much.
great video. i was able to follow it to replace my own intake. had a few issues that caused me to stress and cuss. pushing in the fuel rail with the new o-rings lubed up didn't go so well until i took a break and then tried wiggling it as i pushed and it went in. by the way if your intake is missing the self tapping screws for the fuel rail. I bought some everbilt hex head self drilling screws #12 x 3/4 in. at home depot. they worked fine. i read there's not much difference between self tapping and self drilling except the self tapping require a pilot hole.
Seems like a lot of steps, time consuming & if you miss a step it might be difficult to figure out. I didn’t know how much time is involved with repairing my car. I really appreciate the techs thank you for your video, very good explaining.

I replaced the intake manifolds on my Buick Encore. I got the Dorman part because it's touted to be improved. I changed the valve cover at the same time, also Dorman. The intake manifold check valve failed immediately, less than 100 miles. Now I have to replace them both again. No Dorman parts for me!
My 1.8 has a p0171 code and found out my intake has a small crack in it. They wanted to charge me 2 grand for a new one and labor for a small crack. I went to Lowe’s got some JB weld that bonds to plastic and fixed it right up . But of course this is just a 7.99 temporary fix until I get a new manifold.
I hear the factory intake manifold goes bad sooner or later b/c of the check valve. Do you know if a 1A auto manifold is used as replacement would that solve the problem with intake manifold check valve? Thanks for the video any feedback appreciated
My power brake vacuum hose snapped at the manifold. was told I need new manifold as well as the hose. I assume the parts here include that connection? I've got the new hose and like the price of aftermarket part. Thanks for the help. even if answer unknown.
Hi, Thanks fo a good video. I have this motor in An opel Astra i have the issue with oil driping in small amount out from the throttel body /air intake pipe. The valve cover is changed so this part is okej and the valve in the hose that goes to the turbo seems to be working proberly when blowing/sucking into it. Could the valve (or missing valve) in the intake manifold be the cause of the oil?
Guys mine has extra feul line ontop of injector rail and its connecterd to the intake manifold with a smal hose but the new intake dont have the hole any recomendation?
Doing this right now for the 1.4l sonic and there is barely any room to pull out and put in the intake. It really feels like something is going to break.

Where do I get more info on this? I want to replace mine but don’t want to spend the weekend doing it if I don’t have to. I’m already doing the valve cover replacement
In between the throttle body and the intake manifold. You'll have to remove the throttle body to get to the gasket and torque it back to 71 in lbs which is 6 ft lbs

Thank you! Super helpful! I definitely appreciate the torque specs!
Just don't be like me and put the throttle back on at the wrong angle. I didn't realize it until everything was back together. Silly me.
Do you think buying it from Amazon would be a good idea
How long does the entire process take? 1-2 hours?
Took me 3 hours. I'm new at this and have a chevy sonic which has less room to work with under the hood

Pretty amazing doing it all wearing those gloves..

Is it possible to remove/ replace the solenoid without removing the intake entirely?
Hi,
Thanks fo a good video.

better than other simillar videos

What engine is this for? That's vital information
1.4
this dorman aftermarket intake manifold won't fit the 2011
@@LOLONO666 That’s what I have been told. Where do you get one for a 2011?
Doing this right now for the 1.4l sonic and there is barely any room to pull out and put in the intake. It really feels like something is going to break.
what is the solenoid p/n for one on the back of manifold?
1Aauto are very good when it comes to warranty
What is the part name for the Solenoid on the back/bottom side of the intake with the Vacuum connector @ 15:48? I need to order that. Thank you!
very well done video!
Questio ?can you just clean it, or is there a reason why to replace it ?
Hi, does this manifold fit on the 1.6L A16JET engine?
Question what went to g to have to change manifold did it crack or worp
What is the hose you removed at 2:03?? Mine broke and im trying to get a new one i just dont know the name to it.
My pcv valve is gone. Do I need to replace the entire manifold to fix it?
What was the problem? Why did you have to change it?
Is this for the 1.4 or 1.8 engine ?
Does this apply to 2016 Cruze as well?

Thank you super helpful!
Great video
6:55 yeah... exactly what I would of said. 😂
Did you let the antifreeze out of that car
I've never heard of needing to replace an intake manifold unless damaged in a crash. Why would this manifold fail?
Thank you!
Thanks!
if your cruze is under 120k or less then 10years old chevy will replace it for free due to issues with the built in pcv valve ^_^
Is this true? Do I call a chevy dealership or the Nissan dealership I bought it from?
Where do I get more info on this? I want to replace mine but don’t want to spend the weekend doing it if I don’t have to. I’m already doing the valve cover replacement
Where do you get MAP sensor O ring?
I just need to replace my throttle body gasket, where is it located?
In between the throttle body and the intake manifold. You'll have to remove the throttle body to get to the gasket and torque it back to 71 in lbs which is 6 ft lbs
71ft pounds on the throttle body bolts that's crazy, and can't be right
Minute 17:49, What is the name of this part?
I hate alot of clips. I always break one atleast
why didn't you clean up the throttle body? wow.
How moch of torque
