I'll just ask for one request. Garchomp. One of the strongest Pokemon that isn't a legendary, and would be the first Dragon/Ground type in Smash! I think it would be pretty cool to see how Garchomp would work in he got in!
Honestly, Garchomp has a pretty good shot at getting in for real cuz it’s basically confirmed at this point that we’re getting diamond and pearl remakes soon, most likely this year, as well as a third smash pass being confirmed, if I’m remembering correctly

As a Rivals player, I would like to confirm that very little of this moveset is like it if in Rivals. Matter of fact, only the Side B matches. In Rivals, their main gimmick is Sein who is mainly used in Ori's Neutral B and charges up his Smash Attacks if he's nearby when you start them. Your idea for the grab and Up B is what Ori's Down B was and it would put him into freefall of it didn't hit a projectile or opponent. It also didn't double as a recovery option if it didn't.

It's pretty cool how the Rivals Moveset is based around the first game while your moveset draws more inspiration from the second game. Fascinating stuff. Don't know if I've recommended this yet, but I've got another light-based character that could be interesting to fit into Smash: Stella from the game Spiritfarer. Her pickaxe is already a perfect F-Smash, and The Everdoor should definitely be utilized in her Final Smash, but I trust you can come up with the rest, should you ever feel like coming up with a moveset for her. (Considering what Spiritfarer is about, you could also reuse "What if Sobbing was in Smash?")
@@shyguymike The sequel is even better. While the first one is amazing the second really does feel like an actually perfect game. The only real "fault" I can think of in the first one is the combat being dull. But it wasn't a focus really so not a big deal. But Will of the Wisps rectifies that with a fury and somehow raises the bar on EVERYTHING that was already so good with the first. If you haven't played it yet you definitely should. Games of such perfection are a rarity.
Okay, but with the recent Pokemon Snap trailer out, how about a moveset of the Pokemon Snap protagonist? It could be like your moveset with Phoenix, where it's less actual combat and more just being on the job, with the PKMN Snap protagonist taking pictures with their camera, with certain moves conjuring Pokemon in certain poses.

I am estactic you did this move set. Ori is my second favorite video game character ever. I did not think you would do this move set so I made my own before hand
I. Love love LOVE how you combined launch and bash into one move! I was worried about this move set because as you said, ori has TONS of abilities in the games so there was no chance of them all being in the move list. I especially love how the bash + light burst combo was included. But above all else I respect the time and effort it must have took to make this set overall. The only thing I would change would be the red alt costume, it could instead be a dark green and cream alt referencing the moki, how help ori in early parts of will'o the wisps and are npcs throughout the game.

I had to wait until I finished Will of the Wisps before I watched this video XD. Btw, I have some ideas/changes for the moveset =). 1. I think Ori could have two midair jumps, since he can have three jumps in the games. This would also play to Ori's largest strength: he would be an amazing aerial fighter. 2. Down tilt could be changed to the crouching Spirit Edge attack. It will launch the opponent a tad upward and can be followed up by Ori's dash attack or most all of his aerials at low percents. Forward tilt could be changed to a quick jab from Spirit Edge, making it a great spacing tool. 3. Ori's up air could hold the Spirit Edge upward while he falls. This would be a lingering hitbox, akin to a reverse version of Link's Down air. 4. Throws could be changed from Bash to using certain weapons. Forward: Ori throws the opponent to the ground before slashing them with the Spirit Edge. Although it has low damage and knockback, it allows Ori to follow up with a short hop Fair or Nair at low and mid percents. Back: Ori tosses the opponent behind them, then follows up with Spirit Spike. This has decent damage and knockback, and can kill at around 100% near the edge. Up: Actually, Ori can keep the Bash for his up throw XD. He'd do a short hop, then use Bash to bring himself to the ground while launching the opponent up. This has low damage, but very high launch power. Down: Ori hops before bringing the hammer down on the opponent, grounding them. 5. Ori's Neutral Special could still be the Spirit Arc, though repeatedly touching the button will cause him to rapid fire the arrows. The charged arrow can stay XD. Their side special can still be the Light Burst, but I also think it could be the Spirit Star. Tapping the left stick in any direction will make it go only a short distance in that direction, while holding the left stick in any direction will make it go a long distance. Pressing the Special Button near the beginning of the move will make the star stay in place for a few moments. Afterthat, or if the special button isn't pressed at the beginning, the star will return to Ori like in the game. Ori's up special could just be Launch. It will hit opponents that touch him while in the move, dealing minor damage and knockback. After the move, if you hold up on the left stick Ori will start to glide with Kuro's feather. This will function like Peach's umbrella, though Ori will have more vertical air movement. Finally, I feel that Bash would be best as Ori's down special and act as a counter. When used on an attacking foe, the player can choose any direction to launch the opponent. The move has low damage but very high launch power. When used on a projectile, he can once again choose any direction to redirect it. When used in the air, Ori will be allowed to use one more midair jump if they have no more jumps to use. 6. (DON'T READ THIS PART IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED WILL OF THE WISPS!!!) Ori's Final Smash could have him make a blast of energy all around him. If no foes are caught in the blast, the FS ends. But if any opponents are caught in the blast radius, a cinematic will play of Ori joining with Seir and change to his Spirit Tree form. He will then set the skies ablaze, like his biological father Spirit Tree, setting all opponents caught in the initial hit ablaze as the screen fades to white. The attack will cause decent knockback, but if opponents' damage exceeded 100% due to the FS, they will be instantly KOed (kind of like Bayonetta's FS.) Whew. That's a long comment XD. What do you guys think?
I like how you handled Ori. Based on your explanation it seems unintentional, but I like how between this concept and Ori's official moveset in Rivals of Aether, we now have full movesets for both a weapon-based Ori and an Ori who fights with Sein.

Predictions: Masked Man (Mother 3) Reason: I don't want to spoil the plot of Mother 3, but I will say the story is pretty sad so the subtitle "*Sobbing*" does make sense especially if you know what happens to him Napstablook (UnderTale) Reason: Napstablook main attack in UnderTale is crying, so again the subtitle "*Sobbing* makes sense since he is literally known to cry as an attack as well as be sad/ depressed all the time [Any Chracter that dies in their game] Reason: The subtitle "*Sobbing*" could mean that BJ himself is crying, cause this character he is making a moveset on died in their game.

I really enjoyed this moveset. I know nothing about Ori or Will of the Wisps, but from what I've seen you pulled from a good amount of stuff. Very good moveset overall Regarding requests, apologies if i do a few repeats but these are characters I'd personally love to see movesets for - Morrigan from darkstalkers (Capcom SERIOUSLY needs to revive this dead series) - Queen of Hatred from Lobotomy Corp (its been a while since you did a horror character, and i feel this one would make a good fit in smash) - Meloetta or Zeraora from Pokemon (we could use a mythical rep, and while i personally wanna see meloetta, zeraora very likely has a better shot) - Zero from Mega Man X (no particular reason. I like the unique take you had on this moveset compared to Rivals. Rivals took more inspiration from Blind Forest since Will of the Wisps wasn't a thing at the time they were put in (albeit their abyss runes introduced in Definitive Edition use stuff from the newer game).

Her pickaxe is already a perfect F-Smash, and The Everdoor should definitely be utilized in her Final Smash, but I trust you can come up with the rest, should you ever feel like coming up with a moveset for her.

The only real "fault" I can think of in the first one is the combat being dull. But it wasn't a focus really so not a big deal.
But Will of the Wisps rectifies that with a fury and somehow raises the bar on EVERYTHING that was already so good with the first.
If you haven't played it yet you definitely should. Games of such perfection are a rarity.

Okay, but with the recent Pokemon Snap trailer out, how about a moveset of the Pokemon Snap protagonist? It could be like your moveset with Phoenix, where it's less actual combat and more just being on the job, with the PKMN Snap protagonist taking pictures with their camera, with certain moves conjuring Pokemon in certain poses.

I am estactic you did this move set. Ori is my second favorite video game character ever. I did not think you would do this move set so I made my own before hand
I. Love love LOVE how you combined launch and bash into one move! I was worried about this move set because as you said, ori has TONS of abilities in the games so there was no chance of them all being in the move list.
I especially love how the bash + light burst combo was included. But above all else I respect the time and effort it must have took to make this set overall. The only thing I would change would be the red alt costume, it could instead be a dark green and cream alt referencing the moki, how help ori in early parts of will'o the wisps and are npcs throughout the game.

I had to wait until I finished Will of the Wisps before I watched this video XD. Btw, I have some ideas/changes for the moveset =).
1. I think Ori could have two midair jumps, since he can have three jumps in the games. This would also play to Ori's largest strength: he would be an amazing aerial fighter.
2. Down tilt could be changed to the crouching Spirit Edge attack. It will launch the opponent a tad upward and can be followed up by Ori's dash attack or most all of his aerials at low percents. Forward tilt could be changed to a quick jab from Spirit Edge, making it a great spacing tool.
3. Ori's up air could hold the Spirit Edge upward while he falls. This would be a lingering hitbox, akin to a reverse version of Link's Down air.
4. Throws could be changed from Bash to using certain weapons.
Forward: Ori throws the opponent to the ground before slashing them with the Spirit Edge. Although it has low damage and knockback, it allows Ori to follow up with a short hop Fair or Nair at low and mid percents.
Back: Ori tosses the opponent behind them, then follows up with Spirit Spike. This has decent damage and knockback, and can kill at around 100% near the edge.
Up: Actually, Ori can keep the Bash for his up throw XD. He'd do a short hop, then use Bash to bring himself to the ground while launching the opponent up. This has low damage, but very high launch power.
Down: Ori hops before bringing the hammer down on the opponent, grounding them.
5. Ori's Neutral Special could still be the Spirit Arc, though repeatedly touching the button will cause him to rapid fire the arrows. The charged arrow can stay XD. Their side special can still be the Light Burst, but I also think it could be the Spirit Star. Tapping the left stick in any direction will make it go only a short distance in that direction, while holding the left stick in any direction will make it go a long distance. Pressing the Special Button near the beginning of the move will make the star stay in place for a few moments. Afterthat, or if the special button isn't pressed at the beginning, the star will return to Ori like in the game. Ori's up special could just be Launch. It will hit opponents that touch him while in the move, dealing minor damage and knockback. After the move, if you hold up on the left stick Ori will start to glide with Kuro's feather. This will function like Peach's umbrella, though Ori will have more vertical air movement. Finally, I feel that Bash would be best as Ori's down special and act as a counter. When used on an attacking foe, the player can choose any direction to launch the opponent. The move has low damage but very high launch power. When used on a projectile, he can once again choose any direction to redirect it. When used in the air, Ori will be allowed to use one more midair jump if they have no more jumps to use.
6. (DON'T READ THIS PART IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED WILL OF THE WISPS!!!) Ori's Final Smash could have him make a blast of energy all around him. If no foes are caught in the blast, the FS ends. But if any opponents are caught in the blast radius, a cinematic will play of Ori joining with Seir and change to his Spirit Tree form. He will then set the skies ablaze, like his biological father Spirit Tree, setting all opponents caught in the initial hit ablaze as the screen fades to white. The attack will cause decent knockback, but if opponents' damage exceeded 100% due to the FS, they will be instantly KOed (kind of like Bayonetta's FS.)

I like how you handled Ori. Based on your explanation it seems unintentional, but I like how between this concept and Ori's official moveset in Rivals of Aether, we now have full movesets for both a weapon-based Ori and an Ori who fights with Sein.

It makes sense why, because pulling from rivals is too easy, and is already similar to smash
I like the unique take you had on this moveset compared to Rivals. Rivals took more inspiration from Blind Forest since Will of the Wisps wasn't a thing at the time they were put in (albeit their abyss runes introduced in Definitive Edition use stuff from the newer game).

I just realized this... since uploading Maxwell’s video, you’ve now officially done a number of hypothetical movesets for characters that has surpassed the number of characters that are currently already playable in Smash Ultimate!!! And by Episode 82, you’ll have surpassed the number of fighters that the roster will end with once the last three DLC fighters are released!!! Don’t you feel a sense of accomplishment in that?? Well, you should!! Cause you’ve come such a long way since Jibanyan, and I can’t wait to see what more amazing movesets you have planned for the future!!!
