This is a massive game changer. You could just park a Carrack or 890 at the outpost for respawn and just travel in your Pisces for bunker missions on the planet.

@@Space-Tech ok, i have experienced that only once since 2018. In Grim Hex, down to that creepy guy and the machine.... while i was sprinting. So my advice is: don't sprint om stairs, and slow down a bit via the mouse wheel. You'll never trip again. And i really really hope CIG keeps it that way. Hopefully people learn when death of a spaceman is in. Don't run with scissors. 😉
Thank you! I have a sneaking suspicion that you're right. The original description mentions two cutlass reds, but they have grown a lot since then so this might be the replacement!
I think one important fact you may have missed is that the overhead storage bins are locked to the owner and a patient. The patient storage is accessible by everybody but the owner storage is only accessible by the ship's owner I believe and it kicks you out from trying to open that storage space as if it's locked this is pretty important for player trading as if you don't want to drop stuff onto a floor for fear of it glitching through you can just trade it in the patient storage and never have to worry.
I do show these spaces right before the medicine cabinet, but I had no idea that the owner storage was locked to just the owner! Thanks for the tip :) Do you know the other ships that have owner exclusive storage?
@Space-Tech yes I put her and a roc in my C2 when I feel like playing a different loop...also if you're dehydrated you can run to a vehicle spawn point, spawn the Pisces to hydrate
My carrack already has a medical bay if that is what you are asking, personally I think the C8R is a quick and nimble life or death situation which can get to you quicker than the big carrack
Hey man the flight rig is a much better investment haha, you can use it for other games and it has resell value! Plus, this should be available to purchase in game soon enough :)
Great ship, but I don’t think it’s the best Carrack snub. The Tier 2 medbay in the Carrack itself makes this somewhat redundant, and the C8X can contribute more in a fight.
You can tell it was intentionally designed to assist with minor injuries- which is why it’s perfect for bunker runners and medical beacon rescue. Definitely not meant for dog fighting, loot running or being your multi-purpose ship.
I want them to make better ambulance paints for this ship. I plan to get one for my Galaxy... but I'll earn it in game... my wallet is still crying after buying the Galaxy.
Dedicated Med tool enables injured person to push through T3 injuries making a T3 Med Bed not all that valuable. I still got one. I see a near future where med game play is improved making T3 beds more functional. Also, C8 series collection. 🤣
You can push through the symptoms, but not heal the injury. So for me I still find value in being able to fix my many mistakes in a bunker haha, also yes collecting in Star Citizen really is a problem I share as well :D

This is going to be a perfect runabout ambulance, and a fantastic bunker runner to boot! If you've got a Carrack or 890J nearby, it can't be beat :)

Ranger seems likely but it's a very old concept so I wouldn't commit to that. Pulse should fit though :)

This will fit in my Corsair so I think it will be a great addition for that.
Just make sure it'll still fit when you log out and back in, since the pisces will be spawned with its landing gear up!

I'm willing to bed the C8X can also carry a small bike sized vehicle, like the Ranger, which is why I'm keeping both variants.
I'm so hyped for those bikes, can't wait! Hopefully they do fit in this and the cutter as well

A point to add is that it can spawn at ground vehicle spawn points....this helps in multiple scenarios

Instead of a variant, the modules of the Carrack are meant to be interchangeable, so wouldn't be surprised to see a medical module!

Very true, personally I prefer carrying a merlin or archimedes in the Carrack, but the versatility of the C8X is super valuable there!

Getting ships in game is always a great way to go :) I think med beds don't allow log out for balance reasons, but lets see if that ever changes!
