I just discovered your videos when trying to share a hike from this weekend with my Momma back home. Thank you for this one; Pinnacle summit was my first hike in many years and we went up the trail in reverse of your documentation here. Loved the rope/rock climb at the end. Brought my hubs and 15 year old daughter along with me. Will be my favorite for years to come, I’m sure. Your knowledge is incredible. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the video. I flyfish the toe river often, but haven't hiked that trail. Good Info, as always.

It's a really nice trail, and not difficult.

Never get tired of the view from pinnacle. Couple question.... parking on the BRP and backpacking just a short ways down the bald knob trail soon and was wondering if you noticed any good camping spots for a hammock and would you recommend waiting to winter to tag 6ers in that area? Halfback, Gibbs, Blackstock and Craggy Dome.

The land is very flat and has a lot of nice trees, would be fine for hammocks in my opinion. There's also a tent site pretty close to the parkway, it might be right outside the parkway boundary. It seems like it's been used multiple times. I would not wait to hike the 6,000' peaks until the winter, some of those would be tough to access. For most of the winter the parkway and state park entrance are closed. So hiking to those peaks will be much longer trips from the base.

Zachary Robbins I found a wonderful place to camp maybe 150 yards down trail in some huge evergreens. I was worried about bushwhacking this time of year but it wasn't a big deal, did not hike Craggy Dome though. May hike crest trail this week, I got to hurry and catch you.

Yeah that's the campsite I was talking about. Not sure if it's outside of NPS boundary, which could make it illegal. I doubt the rangers ever check though. Bushwhacking doesn't matter too much any time of year around there, other than spiderwebs. All of the tallest peaks are covered in conifers, so no matter what you'll encounter lots of dead trees from the woolly adelgid. It's pretty annoying stuff to push through, I never show it on my videos.

I'm not sure, it might be. I'm not familiar with the towns in the area.
