Good to see you are on the mend. Only been to Maspie Den once, in January 2017. It had been snowing and it was treacherous underfoot. All the waterfalls were frozen though - it looked fantastic.
That sounds brilliant. I must try and get there in the winter time. Yes I'm healing up fast and fitness it returning quickly. I'm just walking miles a day to get back to normal. Thanks mate.
Glad you're a bit better and getting out again. I did that very same trail trek a few years back when I lived near that area. Absolutely beautiful and interesting walk , quite easy to get lost as there are numerous converging trails , well easy for me anyway. I love how you manage to capture the little insects going about their business without disturbing them. Look forward to the next one.
Yes you are so right it's a relaxing and beautiful place. I noticed lots of tourists at the palace on the main street but virtually no one along the stunning trails up to the waterfall. And I know what you mean about the trails it's like a maze I had to keep checking a map on my phone! Fife keeps surprising me with beautiful places and really nice people I chat to when I'm out at times. I love landscapes but I think sometimes insects are forgotten about so I love to see what they are doing, walking about in their own little world. Kind of how a UFO would view me as a human just wandering about through the woods. 😄
@@TrailTrek Great analogy with the UFO , love it. There is so much to see in Fife .That waterfall ,I'm told , is pretty spectacular in the winter when it partially freezes. Most people come to Falkland for the palace , I'm like you , pay to get in , no chance ! when you have all that fantastic scenery all around you for free.
@@jamespenn3195 I completely agree, nature is incredible yet free. and i didn't fancy standing in a queue of people to see a few rooms for 15 quid. i saw so much more going for a free walk and its also good for health. I might go back in the snow if i can then and see the waterfall again that's really cool sounding. and Fife is so interesting im beginning to explore it more now.
Hi mate. Great to see you up and about once more. I absolutely loved this film. 51 minutes of pure viewer pleasure. As ever, your combination of stills, video and selection of music is perfect. Loads of flora and fauna on this walk. I was enthralled watching it and even though you were hot and depleted of liquids on the walk, the weather was perfect to capture all your shots in the right light, etc. It's great going out on these walks with you. Keep it up and I promise that once I master video editing, I'll try to do something to show you I'm out and about also. Cheers mate 👍
What a kind comment, and hearing you will be going out and filming is music to my ears. There are things I would fix about my video but I only have so much time, and I use a mobile phone so I can only do so much. But I try to get that feeling of being on the walk, relaxing and exploring, drinking in nature. From the highest hill down to the tiniest ant. Thanks so much mate I love to hear people enjoying the videos and wanting to go out in nature.
I like your new intro. As everyone else has said, great to see you out and about! Would've been the perfect place to try out your new water filtration canister. By the way, which headlamp were you using when you came out of the darkened underpass? As always Richy, thanks for sharing your wonderful outdoor adventures. Missed seeing Claire in this one. Tell her hello from Jimmy Mac! Take care my friend-looking forward to your next upload.....
Thanks mate, Claire was working so I did a cheeky solo adventure. I was using the nitecore hc65 if I'm not mistaken. You are right I should have taken the filter. I normally half fill my bladder it's a 3 litre cap so 1 and a half is usually fine for a half day hike.
@@cs8399 Hanging in there Claire. Won't be long till we're inundated with snow. I am enjoying the nice cool fall weather. I"m sure you'll Be in the next video keeping Richy on the straight and narrow! Great hearing from you....
Beautiful place!
The village and the walks are great there. Plenty of scope for other trails and routes as well.

Welcome to Scotland, where, unlike Colorado where I live, you dig a tunnel instead of blasting the side of a mountain off.
Lol. I guess it's faster though. I loved the brickwork in there.
