Vessel Megadora 900 ALWC locking bit driver handle Big fan of my Vessel tolls but I feel like this one needs a re-think. It just so happens after doing the review they have done this! You cant get this one now and its updated in the new 910 versions, where they have changed the handle and shortened the locking head, both things I pointed out. I will give this one a 7 out of ten but you might wa...

Very hard for me to find any negatives at all other than price but I did have to import this one. A solid 9.5 out of 10. it does exactly what it claims to do and does it well. Acebeam H35 Headlamp with Type-C and red light mode My first thoughts here on the new H35 from Acebeam. As is usually the case with Acebeam the light feels extremely well made. Running light LED tells me what the cell is doing and the included cell is a nice hi cap one. Only the 6500k option on this light but so far i like it! Acebeam T35 tactical flashlight SFT40 Yet again Acebeam bring a product that feels extremely well built with a very capable SFT40 emitter. I have no hesitation is recomending this to anyone needing a slim 18650 tactical style thrower. My first thoughts on the new Acebeam T35. A slim tactical thrower with type-C USB and a nice throwy SFT40. Its the usual rock solid feel of an Acebeam and that nice large hotspot. This is the 6500k version but you can get a 5000k. Lots to like so far :-) Full review up after 2 weeks of total use. Manufacturers link: www.acebeam.com/t35 #ACEBEAM #EDC #flashlights

If you think this kind of cutting room footage is crap let me know, or if you like the more behind the scenes stuff I can make a cutting room floor playlist and stick more on channel going forwards. www.acebeam.com/t35

Wera 816 RA ratcheting screwdriver for 1/4 inch bits. Having used this for well over a few weeks now ive enjoyed this tool. Usual reliable Wera although note the small print that this isn't made in Germany. 8 degree swing on the ratchet means this is nice and fine for this small tool. Is the turbo 2000lm for 2 hours accurate... or does it shut down after a few minutes but can do this for 2 hours?
Excellent comment. So a lot of lights that have 'turbo' and/or very high outputs can have a drop off from the actual level they are outputting. This is not just from voltage drop but also from the inability to get rid of heat fast enough. So if you have a look at the following link: flashlight.nitecore.com/Uploads/FLASHLIGHTS/download/hc65_uhe.pdf You can see the following: Look at the graph under the heading of 'Runtime figure for primary white light' This shows the time and output plot on what the actual levels would be if you were to turn light on as high as you can and leave it for as long as possible. So as you can see 2000 lumens needs to slowly drop until at the 2 hour mark the output needs to steeply drop as the cell becomes depleted. I hope this helps answer that one.
would you say its good for building a pc?
Yes however if you need any sort of reach you might need to use an extender. Sometimes the screws for the standoffs on the motherboards i had to use a bit extender up at the top left of the motherboard once in the case. Everything else though brilliant for PC building.
@@TrailTrek I see, thank you!
I build 1/8th scale railcars and locomotives as a hobby so I drill a lot of holes of varying sizes. I am not a metallurgist but I wonder if the fragile nature has more to do with the percentage of cobalt than the drill itself. I have a set of Stroton 6% cobalt SAE drill bits that I have been very impressed with. Like you, I always use a cutting fluid (I use Tap Magic) with every cut to preserve the bit and cutting surface and I do not put excessive pressure on the bits or very high speeds. I have broken a couple of the bits but that was mostly my fault for various reasons. What I've found is that if you contact Stroton, they will replace the bit for you even if it is your fault.... or at least they have for me on two occasions. Now, I am not drilling into stainless steel, 90% of the drilling that I do is into mild steel that is 16 gauge up to 3/8" steel plate and 4" steel I-beams and C-channel which does make a difference but I have had great results.
Thanks for this information. You could be right here and like you I'm certainly no iron foundry expert but dam these bits for me were just not up to the job I ended finishing some of the holes off with a high speed tungsten burr which was annoying. Its funny you should mention about the replacement bits. I ended up getting a full refund which I have to say is good, I didn't keep any of the bits I binned them and got as set of Dewalt on Amazon. Thick stainless steel is a bit of a pain to work with, and I'm willing to accept maybe I was at fault but I was extremely careful. I was very careful on the final push though not to let the bit lock and crack, I used plenty of fluid and I was using very sensible controllable speeds. I know drill bits are technically a disposable items but these were well rated and looked to be perfect. Thanks again for the informative post I love hearing for users of the things I review. Have a great day.
@@TrailTrek I will add this to our discussion on how solid their warranty is. After writing the above review, I wrote them regarding a 7/64" bit I broke some time back because I didn't see them listed individually on their Amazon site. They wrote back to me quickly and said they didn't have an individual bit but would send me a complete new set of bits (17 bits) under warranty even though I bought them in fall of 2022! I did not ask for that and you couldn't ask for better customer service than that.
After a few years of using the 816 it got stolen, so I wanted to see if I should buy the new version or get the 816 again. One thing I liked about the 816 is the mass and size, as it allowed me to twist my wrist and let it free spin while I'm lightly holding the rapidapter. Very nice for my job, one spin and I thread almost any screw completely, then do the last twist to tighten it (works for unscrewing too). I assume with the new version I can't do that, but I feel like it's cool enough to be worth a try.
Be cool to see a drone w a couple high power lights on a night mission low to the ground.
Good idea I did try this at the weekend but it was hard to talk to camera and fly the drone and also film me filing the drone. I think i should have been more sensible about it and done a action cam on my head then drone up and watching when synced both. I will try again though I have a good hill i can use. The one issue is even on a good drone the night sensitivity isn't that good even if you stuck it in night mode which makes it better but kind of softens the footage a bit. Il keep trying :-)
Fully off topic. Maybe you would know the answer to a question since you are so knowledgeable about lights. I own a Nitecore SRT7i. With the multi mode selector interface on the tail cap. 5 modes. Do you think if I took this cap off and put it on the P20ix it would also work? Same iseries battery. That way I’d have a thrower and a flood with identical interfaces.
Hmmmmm that's a bloody good question there. I recon as long as the cell is the same it should work. But it depends on the method its using to make the changes from the tail end i don't have them to know how its translation the button presses to the output. I have a feeling it wont work after siting here thinking about it mind.
How does it compare to the Sofirn HS21?
Really good video, interesting, a one of Edinburgh would be great overlooking the castle.
Yes good idea il try to do one of the various fun parts of Edinburgh :-)

@@chrishamilton2527 Apologies for the comparisons with other lights, I can recommend a few channels who do the 8 min long reviews of that saves you some time. Cheers mate It was bloody freezing and my fingers were sore but fun to have a look about from up above in the frost.
No snow? We had loads in Harrogate, then a week of hard frost, it's just starting to slowly thaw now. Great video quality from the drone!
So there was a little snow but it only lasted a day and then it was just annoying ice on and off. I'm near coast to so don't get much. Cheers mate .
Nice work!
Thank you I was freezing cold on my hands but had a good morning of flying.
I also got the tiki because of price (more than 50% more economical). Yes, highest output is also almost 50% lower but for being a keychain flashlight I really do not need the extra lumens. Also, once the battery finally dies, it is less painful to throw away. All in all, I am very happy with the tiki.
Thanks for the video 😊
I have a couple of std. VC8 and they are good for medium sized cells. IMHO they should add som options for even lower charging levels. 😏 I use a lot of AAA NiMh cells and CR2/CR123 for various IOT sensors. Small cells ( 650mAh - 1000mAh ) will have better endurance if charged with 100mA or less. 👍 That said - the VC8S will be great for 18650/21700 and I will definitely buy one. 😊
What a superb review! Very helpful to me in making my decision on what to buy, you certainly covered all the essential points! Thanks and Happy New 2025!

My Dad was born in Berwick 1920, after WW2 went lived Toronto Canada, I have always wondered about Berwick, havent seen any residential homes in any videos about Berwick, I wonder where his family would have lived.
I just received mine, caught me by surprise but if u pull it hard, the front part come out, and its essentially a bit holder snugly fitted into a handle. Weird enought the bit holder has a 9mm anvil. Could you help to verify my finding? I cant seems to find any info regarding this.
I'm leaning more and more to "i want it"... The Perun 2 is worthless if its raining or snowing, the proximity sensor will dim all the time. And you can't shut it off.

Please try double ended bits and Leatherman flat bits with different locking mechanism.
As the packaging implies (first dipiction written in German) this product isn't made specifically for the US market. I guess this is the reason for the PH1 issue, as in Europe the PZ is probably the most used bit in DIY.
Is it made for US or Japanese bits?
Lovely video on the juxtaposition of different screwdriver handles with vessel. However, the long locking head on the vessel is also designed to accommodate double-headed bits, which you mentioned in the beginning but perhaps remiss to demonstrated later.

The Vessel Megadora handles are my favorite, so I'm definitely interested in that. I've been very satisfied with all my Vessel purchases so far.
