And so your gonna sit here and say a 200 hp car and a 1000 hp car of the same make and model reach the same top speed?? No they absolutely will not.. but I do get what your trying to say as in okay... I add a turbo 100 HP to my car the end result is my car still tops out at 120 unless I delete the governor and mess with the ecu etc. And regearing is a major factor now your statement was kinda true but definitely far off at the same time. In physics, power is defined as the rate at which something does work. For cars, horsepower translates into speed. So if you want to go faster, and get up to speed quicker, you need more horsepower. Torque, on the other hand, is the expression of a rotational or twisting force.
