They need to play Pop A Pill too! That song is really good. There are some really awesome songs that were featured on K3 like Never Around, Pop A Pill, Holding All These Lies, and of course this track, Oildale.
@@mikabass Yeah, Ra's bass is inaudible during certain songs it seems like and he seems to re-write Fieldy's bass lines sometimes. I noticed that with Hey Daddy when they recently played it, the bass riffs he is playing during the verses is being played differently than how it was originally written on the album.
Very cool to see this song make it's way back into the live shows. I wonder who's idea it was to bring this back, cause whoever it was, they deserve a crisp high five.
@@sugarsore Could be, still think it’s under appreciated. They were definitely searching for themselves a bit starting from See You On The Other Side through The Path of Totality. Perhaps Korn III: Remember Who You Are was the point where they learned/discovered they had changed (grown?) and gave up trying to recreate the past. I do think think there are good songs on there but I def appreciated them trying something new on the previous and following albums

certainly very singular they would decide to include a Korn 3 song with Head...i didn't mind it back then when Head returning was still a very remote possibility, but now that they have 4 more albums in Head's second stint i wonder why they don't play more cuts off TPS, TSOS, The Nothing and Requiem
They're just so different. It's a tale of two bands. I still prefer older, groove centric Korn. The newer heavier riff and melody oriented Korn is still good. I think they're best album with Ray is for sure Serenity.

Ra and Ray are more technically talented and both went to school for their instruments, Ra Diaz studied Jazz bass for years in his home country, however I think David and Reginald are a better fit for KoRn and they understand KoRn on a level that obviously Ra and Ray do not.

I was on the fence with this for a long time as an OG fan since the 90's... but I gotta say I like Ray better than David. He owns that spot.
