    the problem with jewellery is the composition of the item is made up of many metals so there is no way that two items will ever be the same on the scale. different manufacturers put many different metals in the mix. this is a BIG issue when it comes to jewellery.. great content thank you..

    According to friend his Dues 2 is gathering dust,and yoir gold assumption video the manticore misses gold,100 Bull Shit.
    Got so much proof that you multi metal detecting voices are talking the wrong information.
    Without been personal your funny in many ways,but lack the understanding of using metal detectors like the manticore in the field.
    Not the beach,but celtic,roman sites,where minerals knock the Dues 2,and where Manticore finds gold and lots of it

    Hey man I can’t help to ask, what is going on with New York?The school system and going around children’s parents on permanent solutions of temporary problems?last critical race theory being taught and what is the end result of doing such.I can’t seem to understand where anyone benefits with learning things like that. I love metal detecting, my country, it’s children and mine,and New York.im in the south and watch your videos, I can tell you are a good teacher as it reflects in your videos. The fact that you live in New York, your a teacher, you are a white man, and we have at least two things in common. I didn’t want to bring this up on here, thinking it may be inappropriate but seems like er thing is inappropriate these days, and being offended has become a crime.I just would like your outlook on said concerns and I’m hoping we have more than metal detecting and white male in common!please feel free to respond with a private message. I tried to figure out how to do that as I wanted to ask you these questions that way. I’m not too savvy with these platforms. I appreciate your time and respect your response regardless.

    I set up my Deus II to accept only nickels. That is how I learned what nickels sounded. I then went clad dimes only. I learned every modern clad coin sound that way. The silver came on its own. I found a few silver dimes while learning dimes and silver quarters while learning quarters. I now have zincolns learned and know not to dig them while I now know copper pennies by their sound. I went out for a week on each and only concentrated on those that I was looking for. I now know the sounds of most things....including pull tabs..which I still dig as they are so close to some rings.....The Deus II is one heck of a machine and the MI-6 is a fantastic pin pointer.
    Thanks for this video......I always learn something from your videos.....

    • @MetalDetectingNYC
      @MetalDetectingNYC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don’t cherry pick in sweet spots. Keep hitting that spot when the sand is down. Lower iron bias and recovery speed for more depth. I keep auto tracking on at beach. Get the 15 inch coil. Go slow and attack the same spots at angles. Don’t worry about pulling iron (beach bottoms are usually full of iron). If it repeats. Dig it.

    Great job. That is a lot of work. Have you done any statistical analysis on the different groups… especially gold. Mean, median, mode and standard deviation? Also. I hate to ask but what about “offsets” of VDI numbers for the different programs and the impact of channel selected. I know it’s minutia but aside from the numbers it could add some interesting perspective. Thanks for your work.

    I’ve never understood the need for one of these myself. For instance you can’t give me a number for shotgun shells not here in England anyway. Most are a similar size but many have degraded and give off various TDIs. I dug a hammered coin the other day. Small one it was six inches down, TDI of 49 with a banging audio on pitch. Written in this Bible it would have come under can slaw. But the fields been well hunted and gave off great finds. It’s now quiet and I’m getting the faint ones, the masked ones and the occasional obvious one we missed. Nobody needs a Bible to do that it’s just rule one of metal detecting.

    This is hugely informative and comprehensive and I get similar VDI readings when the target is up. The rather confusing conundrum for me is when they are in the ground - I get massive reading swings: copper is mostly mid to late 60s for example, silver is on a par with the dreaded foil and gold never reaches above 70.

    Hi, I just did a series of tests in the UK with my Deus 2 with a silver hammered coin buried at various depths in 4 separate holes with great success .i.e., I easily found the targets where others could not due to the depth. That said, a critical comment was passed saying that I didn't replicate the correct conditions because I buried the targets in small plastic bags. Hence, the targets would not have had the correct reaction with the surrounding soggy soil. My counter was that the field reaction was good enough for my Deus 2 to detect them, because I clearly detected each coin, so what difference did the plastic bags make. Do you have a comment please on the likely or not impact of having a plastic around the target and what difference it would make on detection capability.

  • @oldplucker1
    @oldplucker1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I find on the Nox anything conductive is 0+ iron flits between + and - numbers.
    Very logical. Magnetic soil is always - ve I have little trouble picking up small crucifixes. The Deuses have a confusing way of doing things which can make setting up difficult and not logical. If they could follow the way the Nox does it logically it would be far better.

  • @Windsurfingaddict
    @Windsurfingaddict 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If I’m on the beach in Uk I always dig up the 00 or 02 as they generally are clad 1p - 5p - and 10p if your lucky, there is a slightly different sound if you circle ⭕️ around target and so easy to dig on the beach especially dry sand, so many people miss them because they think it’s junk, the Xp Deus one and two are excellent at showing that on VDI. Yes you might get junk but found so many good targets stuck on to a crusted metal target, I’ve even though about doing a video next time I’m at the beach to show this, also I have bottle cap on 2 on beach and not on beach sensitive and switch over programs and have to say it’s works so well as gives you that iron grunt in with good VDI so you just know mostly on rusted caps, interesting on those silver and gold items that ring up in 40s as 32 and 42 ish have always been foil for all my dig ups whilst learning the D2, a dilemma there now, guess I’m going to have start digging them again 😬😬 as always at this time of morning I’m off to work so have to continue to watch laters 👋 😀😀😀

    That's a lot of work you have put in there and thank you, but the problem with the deus 2 is the upper and lower scale of the frequency scan 0-6 can give a target 2 different numbers by at least 2 or 3 on the target TID. Your silver ring TID differences could be due to the purity of the silver used, I have noticed this on Edward silver hammered pennies.

    I have been watching your videos since before I bought my Eqinox 800 or Deus 2. I learned more about the nox from your videos than any other channel and have found a few thousand dollars worth of treasure with it, the deus 2 I’m still learning after 6 months but I’m getting better with it and have found a few silvers already with it. I watched your VDI bible video and even though the deus is a bit scattered on VDI numbers the printed copy will come in handy and for all your efforts and teaching I think 10 dollars is a small price to pay for what you have done for me. Thank you!!

    As a new XP Orx owner, are the target IDs similiar to Deus?

    • @MetalDetectingNYC
      @MetalDetectingNYC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Similar yes, identical no. I was originally going to lump the Deus 1 and Deus 2 together but there are differences in the FMF of the Deus 2 compared to the adjustable single frequency of the Deus 1. We’re talking about the difference of one number to 3 numbers on a scale to 99. This video is still relevant to you though because if it proves anything it shows that you should listen to audio and let that dictate if you dig.

    The Deus 1 has a switchable Frequencies and the same object will differ on the VDI as you pass it through the different single frequencies ,the deus 2 will have the same affect on objects passed under the coil relevant to the frequency used, all metal objects will resonate within an electro magnetic field (eddy affect )and theres a simple formula which will tell you what frequency would be best to use for anything any thing that has a constant regular size and weight coins of your country ,resonance is based on size and conductivity there are anomalies based on shapes like rings even buckles continues shape ,fortunately ring shaped items and disc shaped items resonate the best inside magnetic field ,.which is handy for metal detectorists ,
