I’ve learned to move very slow when working with my bees. I used to be nervous and rush a little and they didn’t like that. Now that I move slow they are much happier with me

One tip though, its best to let it sit for a week before bottling. That lets all the fine wax rise to the surface and any heavy bits sink to the bottom. Makes very clean honey.

I bought a package from you a couple of months ago. I added 3 nuc frames and shook 1/2 of a 5 frame nuc I got from a local seller. I added a 2nd deep already and they have the 2 center frames almost 1/3 of the way built out and have even started storing some honey. I just added the food chamber over the weekend. My first time beekeeping and I haven't even wanted to use a suit or gloves yet. Only have 3 stings, even though one mite check. Which were none visible.. Great bees. Thanks again.

I used to be scared to death of bees, but since starting a hive last year, I've come to find that they're not stinging machines. In fact, I just got finished relaxing by the hive a bit ago, sitting 2 feet away from the hive entrance whilst enjoying a beer. I found out rather quickly that they're more interested in going about their work than anything else. I just love 'em!!

Where I used to live I had a blackberry patch in my back yard and we'd always wait until fall to cut it back and all summer I'd stand in the middle of thousands of bees and just listen to them purr. Pollinators don't care about people as long as you're not actively attacking one it will generally leave you alone. The bumblebees will land on you a LOT so be careful when you are messing with your clothes that you don't trap one as they're slow...

@@et6521 I learned a lot. My new queen died as I was introducing her, so the hive went queenless for a while and was weak going into winter. We then had a really unseasonable winter and extremely cold snap late winter. I ended up losing my colonies over the winter. I have started back up this spring with 2 new packages. The bees are WAY better temperment, and I now have 4 hives as I have captured 2 swarms. I am getting ready to pull honey this weekend.

The local bee man here doesn't either he doesn't even get in the hives very much lol.......but I find myself wanting to look at em more than I should, but I wait a couple weeks in between. They fascinate me......we got our feeders that we ordered from your site today as well as the pollen patties and we put them on the hive top board covers and then we put these Amish top boxes with screened vents on them that we found today.......there was a little bee on the top board when we were filling the feeders....she was hopping 😂 then she flew away.....I have never seen a bee hop before. I have a couple of fully Capped honey boxes still on several hives. Last year I pulled the Capped Honey and extracted it BEFORE I checked it with a Refractometer. The % of moisture read 20-21%. If I leave the capped boxes on the hive, will they be OK? Will the honey lose some more of it's moisture? Will the bees consume the honey before I get to extract it, waiting for it to cure more? I had to consume or make Mead out of last year's crop. Afraid it would ferment after it was sold. Blessings.

Allah (God) says in the Noble Quran about bees theses Quranic verses: ( And your Lord inspired the bees, saying: "Take you habitations in the mountains and in the trees and in what they erect, Then, eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of your Lord made easy (for you)."There comes forth from their bellies, a drink of varying colour wherein is healing for men. Verily, in this is indeed a sign for people who think).
