    Just found your mushroom growing series. Very well done and glad you included the green mold failure, it shows us what to look out for. I've been saving up my coffee grounds and your vids have inspired me to get on with it. Thanks for sharing.

    Sleestak Rules? .....YES he does!
    Thank you. I hasn't watched any of your other videos (yet), but I am impressed. The yeild you got from the bag was awesome..... Hell you got some shrooms! I admire your willingness to deal with and share the learning curve. Your videos were clear and complete. One request I would you please fast in six months or so, do another video in This series to illustrate what you have learned and how you do things differently? You are a wonderful teacher. Thanks again!

    Perhaps of you add a pinch of gypsum to the coffee grounds you may have larger flushes. The reason they started coing out the bottom is because the small space creates a microclimate of high humidity which favors pinning.

      Oh I see. What do you do to the coffee grounds and the straw after they no longer grow? Do you throw them away or reuse it to start growing new mushrooms? Thanks for all the information. Oh and one more question. How do you know when they won't grow any more mushrooms?

  • @inphinitezero5499
    @inphinitezero5499 ปีที่แล้ว

    Haha cool i bought a growkit online which is a plastic container with air holes drilled in with micropore tape over it.
    Inside the bag is a bag of grainspawn that you mix with ur own coffeegrounds proggresively you add aprox. 100grs of used coffeegrounds each week and let the mycelium eat it :p so far its half full and colonizing fast (the quality of the strain and spawn are very good)
    Btw how fast does cardboard colonize? And does it give good yields? Or is it only good for adding more air in the substrate?

    Great Videos. Very informative.. While I was watch them I was thinking that you are not using as much area as you could be. You should try using a seed starter flat with the 72 cells in it but leave out the cells and just fill it up about an inch with your finished cultures, moisten it down and put the greenhouse lid on it. I believe that you will keep up the humidity and give you a much higher yield.

    Great Video as always. Mine are starting to pin again. Time to keep it going once we harvest it. Now i wonder how many times you can clone the strains. Like in a Star Trek episode can't remember which but after several generations of clones you start to lose something in the mix.. What's your thoughts! :)?

    • @SleestaksRule
      @SleestaksRule  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, I think I remember that in Star Trek. That might be true in cloning and might be why the pros start from spores. I watched a Paul Staments video a few months ago and he was saying the mycelium has a memory. So maybe it remembers how many times it fruited?? I'll need to go back and watch it.
