      @@WhiteThreadCrochet I'm thinking now it may be many patches alternated with solid knit patches because I have just learned to knit on circular needles and that means you only ever knit on the face, so it's automatically the typical knit stitch that you see in a sweater ~ no turning, no purling ~ and there is a fake line that you can knit or crochet in between, I forget what it's called but it's a throwaway that you can nip after you secure all of your knit stitches at the top with a bind off.
      See, I learned to knit watching thousands of videos before I ever bought the needles. When the urge fulminated, I went to the store and bought the circular needles and sat right down and did it. RIght then and there.
      My head just percolated until it spewed through my fingertips, to the needles, to the yarn. It wasn't what I thought I would knit, nor did I have a clue what inspiration would come once I started.

      I can see how to easily make increases for a skirt, for instance. I would simply make increases in double crochets in between the lacy columns. But I'm not sure how I would make it into a flat circle 🤷🏻‍♀️ That would definitely take some thinking! 🤔

    Can you explain the number of foundation chain in terms of multiples? You have made 41 chains and the last three chains are counted as one double crochet for the next row. So if I wanted to change the size to smaller or bigger what would be the actual number of chains I would be working on? I am guessing it is a multiple of 12 or 14 plus 3. Pls confirm. It's a beautiful pattern and I want to try it on a top. Watching from India.

    • @WhiteThreadCrochet
      @WhiteThreadCrochet  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's a multiple of 12, plus 5. No matter how much wider you want to make it, it is still multiple of 12, plus 5. Or you can think of it as a multiple of 12, plus 2 for symmetry, plus 3 that replace 1st dc.

    I absolutely LOVE THIS PATTERN! I've been hunting in every place I could think of, & tonight, you land in a space that was supposed to be about invisible granny squares. And, HERE YOU ARE! It's a king size bedspread/blanket, & in my stupidity(I call it being eccentric, on steroids, my husband calls it, 'flying by the seat of your pants!')! I asked my friend if she'd like fringes, or pivots? 'Oh! I get to choose? I knew about this blanket but I thought you were kidding that you were making it for me!. At our ages, we have to take anything good, & don't ask questions!' This blanket is humungous, these are the 1st edging I've found that I thought I might use. The vote is in! We're using your edging!🎉🎉🎉😂❤😅😊🎉🙃🤗 Thank You For Such A Beautiful Lace. Sturdy, but feminine, & it should wash quite well! God Bless You & Your Family Always...
