I'm learning driving with private instructor now. Already took 10 lessons. He was scolding me a lot. I know sometimes I just repeat the mistake but he really impatient. The way he talked to me make me don't know I'm wrong or right. At first few lessons he seem ok. Now if i make one mistake he talked a lot like im not good why not following the instructions...that's make me more nervous and scared him. Worries about make mistake. Like yesterday I was asked him turn left or right at junction. He told me if you want turn right just turn, turn left just turn. After that he said" if he didn't say anything is turn left, I must know because when I'm in the test the examiner never tell you " So I asked him "oh so when I'm testing the examiner don't give me the instructions". Then he started : you want go to test just book la, haven't learn good want go to test, ... I said I just asking. Whole the lesson he keep talking about that, when I make mistake he said again haven't learn well want go to test. Go to book after lesson la. I'm felt like I'm suffering now. I really don't want change the instructor. He knows that. Now I already booked to 13 lessons. He started tell me. If instructor not good go to change another one la... Please tell me is it normal for teaching ? Sometimes I just ask can I go or not he said if you think ok just go, then after that he said haven't learn want to do go already .
Hi from what I observed, it is really up to individual instructor. The practice in the driving school is no instruction mean go straight, This apply to the driving test too.
Helen hi! I experienced the same thing. And my private instructor didn't even make me go to any ssdc test routes (which is in woodlands). We were driving all the time at Yio chu kang lol. Exact same behaviour and I had already completed 10 lessons. And he didn't even start on circuit or parking or anything. So now I have changed to school and its the best decision ever! Cuz I really want to learn proper techniques and school instructors really guide you and teach you. I have now attended more than 10 school lessons and each time it has been a different instructor, but all of them good. So if you are OK with spending a bit more, I recommend you to change to school too! These private ones really cmi zzz
Hi sir at 8:36 can you make the right turn. Is the rule only if there are no incoming cars or so long as the car is very far back even though you can see it can you make the turn?
Hi you can make the right turn if there are no oncoming vehicles and pedestrians crossing. Whether the car is very far or not, if you are not sure or can't see (block by vehicles), then wait for the right turn arrow.

@@Sh-qc1eh Before the light turn red. There will be green arrow (enough time) for your car to turn right and you will still proceed and make the right turn if the light changes to red.

It also depend on the distance how far before you make a right turn. If the tester already instruct you to turn right in front, then you no need to keep left.

Since the traffic is clear, is better to change lane by lane as some testers will penalize student for changing lane straight to the extreme right lane.

For traffic rule, if both of you has the chance to turn together, the bike has the right of way because the bike is nearer to the lane. In this scenario, you can go first because there are vehicle going straight and bike has to give way.

Hi, traffic will be less congested but i think by the time you hit the road will be around 4.45 to 4.50pm. Gentle reminder do not forget the bus lane timing that will start from 5pm to 8pm. All the best.
I didn't saw the oncoming car, the car block by the bus. Very stupid mistake. I have confident in my Circuit test but not in the road!😔 my next test 9 of December, Hopefully I can pass my test.

It also depend on the distance how far before you make a right turn. If the tester already instruct you to turn right in front, then you no need to keep left.

There isn't a turning point for right turn. Just look at the lane you are turning to and turn the steering wheel accordingly.

Speed limit on the road without speed limit sign is 50km/h unless otherwise stated.
At time you can't drive fast also due to road and traffic conditions but if allow, you should regular the speed.
