One of the best/underrated/unappreciated SNL cast member. She's brilliant.
Well, Tracey Morgan was very under utilized in that era...as well, she benefitted from being with Will Ferrell often.

I agree. She was one of my favorites on snl. I'm surprised that she didn't become 'bigger' in films or on tv..She's always had the looks, talent and charisma. It's all a bit baffling to me.
@@waynej2608 Likely she didn't want to sleep with those "management types" like Weinstein so her career hit a wall. The carrots they dangle in front of these 'entertainers" aren't the vegetable variety (if you catch my drift).

Perhaps to the TRUE/long-time fans who can compare the work of ALL CMs over the nearly 48 years. To the casual viewer/TH-cam watcher, she is NOT a legend...in fact, she is barely remembered... Few internet/socil media lists will EVER include Cheri among the "legendary" performers. But yeah...I agree with you.

I was talking with a friend of mine recently about our favorite SNL cast. Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell (he disagreed), etc. I would def put Cheri oteri in my top 10. I can see where she got her grizzled characters from. So genuine and funny.
She's an absolute genius.

Cheri’s story of her mom’s fem hygiene products + kids imagination reminded me of talking to my mom + little bro comes in tooting a little homemade kazoo. That he got out of the bathroom trash can. “Mom… that urs?” All 2 yrs of him, his lips wrapped around his first tamp. If only there was socials back then huh!!?

I have this on but I'm just listening to it and, man this sounds like some sad therapy sh!t. Then I look at the screen and see her face and it's like it instantly becomes the comedy it's intended to be. I think some comedians are like that Tears of a Clown thing. They are so good at hiding their inner turmoil and are able to make it funny on the outside somehow.
I love Sherri Oteri. She was the best on SNL and the few movies she has done but, she felt like she was not on tonight. She is so much better than this. She deserves to be in many more movies. Her and Will Ferrell where hilarious together. She is also cute as a fox. She is my perfect woman. I feel like she never got the BIG break she deserves.
