- Finding the best red lipstick for the Holidays can be difficult wether at the drugstore or even high end makeup stores! Here are some lip swatches of my favorite red lipsticks, liquid lipsticks and glossy lip products! I also share some tips on how to find the right red lipstick for you! I totally agree that Mac chili is underrated and great for warm skin tones! I specifically sought that one out at a Mac counter because I thought I would feel more comfortable in it. The guy at Mac told me that he didn't think it was as flattering but I got it anyway because I feel way more comfortable in it. Highly recommend!

I think it’s awesome you mentioned the Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink liquid lipsticks. I have two different shades, Voyager and Pioneer. It is true that it does remain tacky for a bit after application, but it doesn’t dry out my lips, the tackiness does go away (or at least for the most part), and when it does, my lips don’t feel dry, they literally feel like velvet. I love it!
I bought Rimmel 107 at your recommendation and I LOVE IT. I just wanted to say thank you for giving me the confidence to wear bright lipsticks in public

I love Rimmel, but this one is extremely drying on me(( but the shade was different, not long lasting also)
@@beautywithemilie actually if you have a yellow undertone, you are actually neutral warm, not warm. Actually, if you have an orange undertone you are warm.

Great recommendations! I hear the Mac Chili lipstick also works extremely well for many pale olive skin tones, for which it can be very hard to find the right red (in fact, I think that's Emily's skin tone)!
To remove the Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick, it's as simple as using any skins-safe oil you have in the house--baby oil, corn oil, olive oil, whatever--and it comes right off! No need for any special removers!

Yes! I'm so glad someone finally mentioned Mac Chili! It's my all time favorite red, for everyday and for special occasions. I'm quite pale but I have a warm undertone and I really do find that this one suits me way better that Ruby Woo for example!
Amelia Ponderland I got Chili from an OCC recently and I love it. I have a light complexion with neutral to watm undertones and this lipstick really suits me (at least I think so 😀).
I've had my eye on it for so long but wasn't sure if it suits me! I'm very light with very warm undertone and it's decided, I'm getting it :)

Chili definitely caught my attention Emily. I'd like to recommend the perfect lip liner for red lipsticks or on it's own.

Thanks for the recommendations! I was just preparing to enter the Christmas spirit and I foresee a lot of red lipsticks in my near future ;) I have my eyes on Sephora's Always Red and Maybelline's Superstay Matte Ink in Pioneer... Luckily they can be found in Italy as well! :)
'Trust me' from colourpop is my favorite red I LOVE the color and the texture, it's one of those lipsticks that look almost velvety on the lips and I never hear anyone talking about it. It looks fresh even after eating and drinking with minimal transfer and it's not too drying either.
I also love the Maybelline creamy matte formula, they last all day and are never dry! The shade raw chocolate from the intimatte collection is my go to😍😍
I have the Sephora black lipstick and I have to say the Sephora brand has to be one of THE MOST underrated lipstick brands EVERR! I love their brand and I’m glad you reminded me! I had the black one before but now I MUST try the reds! Thank you! ❤️❤️🔥✨

Chilli is one of my favourite reds foe exactly the reason you mentioned in this video. It is not too bright, has a little brown and looks perfect in warm undertones

My favorite red is Besame's Red Velvet! I always get so excited any time I get to wear it and sometimes I will specifically plan an outfit and hairstyle just so I can wear it, haha.
2017 has been the year of lipsticks for me. I had never bothered with lip colors before this year and now I absolutely love to try new ones out. I always have at least some kind of color on my lips anytime I leave the house. Haha.

My fantasy self wants to rock a classic matte red lipstick everyday 👄. My actual self does not like the feeling of lipstick on my lips all day, nor do i have a lifestyle where rocking red lipstick everyday is plausible, but i still love red lipstick anyway! 🤣 my favorite is rimmel kate moss 107.

My favorite red lipstick is Lancome Red Stiletto. It's very moisturizing. I love it!! It's a great color for my complexion. I have been wearing it for years. It's one of the best lipsticks ever!! I absolutely love it!! 💄❤

I love the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Gazpacho. It's not a red like you showed, a bit darker and definitely a lot more blue toned, but it looks soooo amazing and makes your eyes pop! I wore it for my law ball and got so many compliments. It's not super transfer proof, but if you work it correctly into your lips, it will not fade from your lips.
Thanks to this video of yours, my mom I went and tried Mac's red lipsticks. I bought Chili for myself and bought my mom Viva Glam II .

My recent favorite red lipstick is from Dior Rouge lipstick in the shade matte 999!!! It's very flattering, and the formula is pretty nice too!!! Love your recommendation vids!!!
Absolutely love Colourpop’s Matte X in Trust Me! I applied it around 8am, had exams, had food (lunch, burgers, Starbucks, etc), went on a flight, arrived home and only managed to remove my lipstick around 1-2am. It still looked like I just applied it.
My favorite red lip stick hands down is the Gerard Cosmetics Hydra-Matte in shade Immortal 😍😍😍 I'd love to try the Rimmel one though. Seems like a nice shade of red!

I just came back from a Euro trip and I brought home with me 6 of the Sephora Lip Stains because of you. Haha. It's not like there's no Sephora in my country but you came across my mind when I was in checking out Sephora in Paris. I remembered how you've been loving and raving their liquid lipsticks so I thought "why in the heck not", and bought them. I need to get Pioneer that's such a great shade! I like that it's a deeper red. I got Ruby Woo several months back and wow, it's so dry! I have to put a balm on my lips just to get it to go on. Beautiful color though.
The fact you picked shades with different undertones in mind is really helpful! I might try Firestarter or Pioneer. (Btw, I've still been wondering what you think of the Loreal Pro-Matte Liquid Lipstick line. Have you tried them out yet?)

Sephora Always Red is my absolute favorite! Emily, have you heard if they’re changing the formula or discontinuing them? My Sephora lady said bc a lot of the colors are unavailable or discounted that typically means they’re doing away with them. I really hope they’re not because this is my favorite formula of liquid lipstick.

I have one of those Covergirl Outlast lipsticks! I do like it. The Walgreens in town has them all on clearance though!
My favorite reds.....I do love my Lip Sense in Blu-Red. I save it for special occasions when I need something to stay all day. I love my Sephora Cream Lip Stain, of course. I own a lot of reds. I think it’s hard to rank the rest.
