i know nothing about lipstick but i was recently at the drugstore trying to find a deep red lipstick; swatched about 50 different ones and came away with the very first one she showed here (loreal pro matte 368: matador), so i feel like my choice has been validated. its not sticky or drying, it was under $10, and IT SERIOUSLY DOES NOT MOVE!! so good

While I.. it takes me a great amount of concentration just to even line my lips! And you do not even use lipliners on your lip swatches!! Now tell me, how is that fair??? Love those lippies! Well Emily recommended sephora cream lip stain 01 Always Red I tried and I loved it , truly the formula is awesome it's comfortable matte with no transfer and most importantly it does not exaggerate lines on my lips I truly adore it. Omg please review the Besame lipsticks!!! I honestly want to know your opinion on them. My all time fav no one can take its place is TF Ladyballs. I wear a lot of reds it’s almost interchangeable but for some reason people always compliment me whenever I wear the TF. Every single time.
Besame lipsticks are AMAZING. One of my all time favourite formulas. So so pigmented, long wearing, comfortable and the shape makes them so easy to apply even without liner

My favourite long-lasting red lip is the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Red Pepper. When I couple it with a red lip liner, it's meal-resistant! Love it!
Oh to me the Maybelline liquid lipsticks feel like cement on my lips😩 even if I apply a thin layer it just feels so heavy and I never had that problem with other lipsticks so far. Apart from the Milani liquid lipsticks which at one point everybody raved about but on me they looked like a patchy mess that was looking like chalk on my lips and ended up all over my face 30 min after application. Too bad, the colours are absolutely to die for
I’ve tried quite a few red lipsticks because of your channel, but my favourite now are the Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipsticks, they aren’t drying for me and last very well. The perfect balance! They have quite a few different undertones/shades too.
The maybelline liquid lipstick is insane. I wore a red all day on my friend’s birthday. Through day drinking, greasy foods, and a nap it never came off or smudged and even after a scrubbing my lips in the shower I still had some left.
I love Bite lipsticks! They definitely are my favourite lipsticks out there! My favourite red is Sour Cherry close behind is Bite of New York and Gazpacho. Maple is more of a brownie orange on me. I do love Maybelline too… Pioneer is very good! Colourpop has nice reds too totally affordable! Lisa Eldridge ‘s Velvet ribbon is gorgeous too! Gotta love red lipstick on gloomy days like November! :)
Emilie Ruiz velvet morning and velvet jazz are lovely too. The original velvet collection basically covers all reds that one would need and they work for almost every skin tone. I feel that velvet jazz is the most wearable deep red in the market!
I got a tube of Mac Prep and Prime as a free gift and I find that helps keep liquid lipsticks from drying my lips out. I tried chapstick but I find it to be too slippery. I love the Maybelline Stay Matte Ink lipsticks. The stickiness doesn't bother me but I tried your tip of using less and that does work.
I've tried several, yet I still go back to Elizabeth Arden 41 Bold Red. It's underrated. No one talks about their lipsticks. There's something about their matte moisturizing formula which spoils me, have a specific expectations for matte lipsticks, it's velvety without being thick, and couldn't compare to others.

When this video came out, I think I only saw a couple of videos from you and wasn't even a subscriber still. Because you emphasized the Milani's Matte Confident so much and described it as my ideal red would be, I actually purchased it the day after. Now, where I live there is no Milani, so I had to wait until TODAY to finally receive my lipstick. And I must say... it is the most beautiful red I could ever ask for. Thank you for your videos and keeping the colours realistic (some youtubers will put a ton of filters, so you can never see the true colours of lipsticks), and the descriptions to a T. Now the Quest continues, finding that same shade in a liquid long stay matte lipstick 😂 keep up with the great work! 😘
Will you do an up close / prep video of what you do before applying your lipstick? Do you line every time or just do at it after exfoliating your lips? I am terrible at applying it perfectly and yours are all so BEAUTIFUL
Tbh I just get a lot of practice lol I don't do anything special. I remove lipsticks with a wipe in between swatches and maybe fix my application with one if I do it terribly but that's it!
Lipstick with warm undertone really suits my warm skin, however it makes my teeth looks more yellow. If I pick lipstick with cool undertone to tone down my teeth, it doesn't suit with the rest of my face and makes it looks off. Any suggestions?

I love lipsticks in general and reds in particular, but I had an awful experience with Pioneer. Was sooo patchy, I tried to use it a couple of times and was a total fail! I gave it to my sister to try it as well and her experience was the same...hence I ended throwing it away. Such a disappointment 😔
Nyx Pure Red lipstick, Maybelline Siren in Scarlet lipstick, Nars lip crayon in Dragon Girl and Cruella. Covergirl used to have a colorlicious lipstick in Hot Red which was so pigmented and comfortable. Not sure if they still make it. 💋💄

Have you considered reviewing/swatching the Lisa Eldridge velvet lipsticks? They are really beautiful. Fenty Stunna is beautiful but so messy. Not for me. I'm a huge fan of Ruby Woo.
Mac's ruby woo, chili, and russian matte are perfect for any skin tone! I'm also Asian with light medium skin with neutral undertones. Colourpop's liquid lipstick in arriba (more bright orangey red), snowfleek (slightly pink tone red) lost (dark red), and forever red (pink tone red) from Besame are stunning! Red velvet from Besame is also pretty. I have all of the lipsticks I mentioned above. Try Milani's lipstick in naked, Fenty's uncensored, or Maybelline's pioneer as mentioned in the video. Those 3 look promising too.
Three of my favorite reds are Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey (sheer, berry-red), Morphe Liquid Lipstick in Hotshot (very bright and vivid, not to be missed), and MAC @PaulinaGoto (strawberry red, if you're able to find it somewhere online since it's limited edition). Yes please!! you are the queen of lip swatching, so PLEASE, between lip healings, do more swatching videos- altho, I guess I would have to have you here in person to tell me which red would look right on me, because they never ever do to me. I've collected a few and gotten some freebies over the last few years because my hubby loves red lips. I put a few together for Halloween til I got to a shade where I felt comfortable walking out of the house for Halloween (I was a steam punk little red riding hood since he wanted to be a wolf) and ended up with a shade he loved- and I tolerated. I guess I just don't like red on me, or just the color itself, altho the red riding hood top was kind of a dark wine/burgundy type color and it felt flattering. I don't wear red often except my AL hoodie jacket. I want to like it and want to like wearing it. Don't know why it matters, lol I guess because hubby likes it (he loves me whether I wear it or not), and I want to get out of my comfort zone. Sorry for rambling. Thankyou so much for the swatches!! Maybelline liquid lipsticks are sticky and very drying on my lips. So good shades and affordable prices, but for me they are bad. Sephora lip stains are all time favorites!
It definitely depends on your skin type I think! I have dry lips but they are also oily like my skin so the stickiness works for me. My sister has drier skin but her lips can stand the super drying matte liquid lips like Colourpop and Kat Von D and the Maybelline straight up crumbles on her

My favorite red is Nars Cruella. Its in their matte pencil line and the formula is very forgiving for being a red matte

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Bad Blood is a gorgeous red. And it’s Comfort Matte, so not drying but not slipping all over the place.

Three of my favorite reds are Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey (sheer, berry-red), Morphe Liquid Lipstick in Hotshot (very bright and vivid, not to be missed), and MAC @PaulinaGoto (strawberry red, if you're able to find it somewhere online since it's limited edition). Yes please!! you are the queen of lip swatching, so PLEASE, between lip healings, do more swatching videos- altho, I guess I would have to have you here in person to tell me which red would look right on me, because they never ever do to me. I've collected a few and gotten some freebies over the last few years because my hubby loves red lips. I put a few together for Halloween til I got to a shade where I felt comfortable walking out of the house for Halloween (I was a steam punk little red riding hood since he wanted to be a wolf) and ended up with a shade he loved- and I tolerated. I guess I just don't like red on me, or just the color itself, altho the red riding hood top was kind of a dark wine/burgundy type color and it felt flattering. I don't wear red often except my AL hoodie jacket. I want to like it and want to like wearing it. Don't know why it matters, lol I guess because hubby likes it (he loves me whether I wear it or not), and I want to get out of my comfort zone. Sorry for rambling. Thankyou so much for the swatches!! Maybelline liquid lipsticks are sticky and very drying on my lips. So good shades and affordable prices, but for me they are bad. Sephora lip stains are all time favorites!
Yep, Maybelline liquid lipstick makes my lips stick together, very uncomfortable!
It definitely depends on your skin type I think! I have dry lips but they are also oily like my skin so the stickiness works for me. My sister has drier skin but her lips can stand the super drying matte liquid lips like Colourpop and Kat Von D and the Maybelline straight up crumbles on her
