Theory: Monsoon is the best warrior from the entire desperado because Raiden uses Ripper Mode the whole fight and still has trouble (in a normal playthrough)
That actually makes a lot of sense because monsoon is the only boss that can kind of become invincible when he glows purple. He can stun him but it's the only kind of invincibility any boss has so if he stays in that state permanently then he would be incredibly tough to defeat.
I think ur right in terms of gameplay cuz i did have more trouble with monsoon the most out of all the Desperados. Lore wise i dont think thats true. Cuz Sam beats Monsoon in the dlc

Ripper mode can literally cut through enemies without blade mode and increase Raiden's speed + damage by a significant amount, but Monsoon is, well, magnetically dodging all the slashes. He's also really fast, like he literally disappear in the smoke and appear outta nowhere in less than a second. Not to mention all those combination attacks he does like GAH DAMN, spamming block is neccessary. But he's the strongest warrior? I don't think so.

Bro remembered the basics of CQC
You can jump + heavy attack with ripper mode in the air to stop armstrong from throwing excelsus parts at you (Its done in the WR speedrun)
