People all flock to a young Trulku because, and only because, they assume and presume that the boy is the reincarnation of Late Rinpoche they revere. If they realise that the boy is not true reincarnation, then nobody will come to meet him. Boy will be just another monk who is trying to graduate from a shedra. If boy is handsome, he may get a girlfriend. If not you have no choice but to be single.
In todays world, Phones are constantly updated so the newer version is always better than the older version. But in Dharma, it is usually the other way round. The previous Rinpoches are considered to have more apps, better apps and more GB than the newer versions. Buddhism that late dilgo Khyentse taught will never be outdated. It would be very difficult for any trulkus to match his knowledge and realization.
Secondly, Trulkus are brought up like prince. They never go hungry, never feel the cold or the hard wooden bed. So their sufferings is nothing compared to many young children who cross Himalayas on foot to join the monasteries in India, leaving their parents behind.
Lastly, just because one is not a monk, doesnt mean one have to be a womanizer.
When people says you dont behave like Rimpoche, I am sure they want your mind to remain more stable.

Your perspective seems to overlook the profound depth of the tulku system and the genuine respect people have for it. People don’t flock to a young tulku solely because of assumptions or external qualities. This ‘Rinpoche’ is recognised by the great Thrulshik rinpoche’ and later confirmed by HH the Dalai Lama. Additionally, to assume that no one would follow a tulku if they weren’t ‘handsome’ or didn’t meet certain expectations is to miss the point entirely. People seek truth, authenticity, and spiritual guidance, not an image or a persona. Let’s honor the sincere efforts of young tulkus, whose paths are challenging and filled with responsibility, instead of reducing them to trivial traits.

This is very sad to hear. His predecessor went through the greatest hardship of all, having to flee Communist China into exile with no material possession and just a few of his entourage and family members. He had to start from ground up and build everything in an unknown world. I think this young Rinpoche needs to learn more about gratitude and that he was in fact born with a silver spoon and start to appreciate what he has and just focus on his studies.

Genuine Rimpoches are supposed to be enlightened souls. The first priority of the Rimpoche should be to liberate the sentient beings. That is the only reason why they are reborn. That is also the only reason why we respect them.

As somebody who was in the audience when Yangsi Rinpoche had this dialogue talk towards the end of last year, I personally find that the specific highlight of the clip can be easily taken out of context and be misframed.
It was my first time listening to Yangsi live then , I am in no way affiliated with him nor is he my guru. I don't get that he is discrediting Dilgo Khyentse in anyway during that dialogue session.
Please do watch and practice own discernment, kindness and compassion towards another being who was born with very big shoes to fill 🙏

It’s sad to see negative comments about Yangsi. Until now, there hadn’t been any negative remarks about him on social media, but that seems to have changed after Ramjam Rinpoche’s public framing of Yangsi sometime ago in the last week odd September or first week of October this year. Looks like some people are influenced by Shechen Rabjam’s negative announcement, but let’s consider this with care and compassion. I listened to that audio too, and I’ve saved a copy as well. It was widely circulated, but it’s worth reflecting on why someone so close to the Yangsi, almost a father figure, would choose to publicize his perceived faults instead of guiding him privately. In any family or community, if a mistake is made, it’s often more compassionate to address it privately rather than announcing it to the world…

I don’t think if something as serious as described in the recording really occurred, just privately guiding him will do much. It’s a legal problem in the brewing and sooner or later will cause a huge stain on both Shechen and the Dilgo Khyentse name. But again, we have yet to hear the whole story and I doubt we probably will.

With due respect, a tulku is not simply defined by their way of saying, doing and accepting things exactly like in their previous life but by the karmic imprint, wisdom, and compassion that they carry forward. Moreover, every tulku, like any individual, is allowed their own journey, which may not always align with the expectations of others. Judging someone solely based on speech, without knowing the depth of their practice and insight, is shortsighted.
