  • New Thailand videos every Wednesday. Subscribe: / darrenb3 . Check out my channel for lots more videos of Ao Nang & Krabi Thailand! A tour through all of the main markets in Krabi Town. Krabi Town Markets: The Morning Market (Maharaj Market), the City Market, Krabi Walking Street Weekend Night Market, the Street Food Market (Chao Fa Pier Market), the Saturday Market and the Old Market (Talad Gao).
    Most of the markets sell very similar items: Fresh foods, fruit & vegetables, meat & seafood, prepared local Thai food & street food, souvenirs, clothes, shoes, kitchen appliances as well as many other things.
    There are different markets every day of the week around Ao Nang and Krabi Thailand. I love the markets, and I think seeing them is one of the best things to do in Krabi Thailand.
    Subscribe to my channel for more videos on what to do in Thailand in general. New Thailand videos posted regularly about Ao Nang and Krabi, places to see, things to do, eating Thai food, Thailand travel tips, shopping, street food and other Thai food, Thailand markets, Thai festivals & culture, shops, hotels, resorts, villas, restaurants, Thailand holidays, accommodation, tourism and Thailand travel.
    The day and night markets are a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand, they're fun places to visit. They're not like your Asian Supermarket or Oriental grocery store back home! And they're a great place to try traditional Thai foods, authentic Thai cuisine, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai foods in Thailand. Best of all, the shopping is fun and the food is cheap! Eating at markets is a great way to save money on your Thailand holidays or while you tour Thailand.
    Love Asian food? Make sure you check out some Thai food markets on your trip to Thailand, it's one of the best things to do!
    Thai food recipes call for fresh ingredients, so many Thai people do their grocery shopping every day at food markets like this and do their cooking using fresh ingredients, as do most hotels and restaurants. In Thailand people don't buy their groceries online and delivery service is limited, at best. Thailand food markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai cuisine, or to buy groceries and fruit while you travel in Thailand.
    If you're looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on a Krabi's Koh Phi Phi Island.
    Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.

    Very well made video. So informative without speaking a word. Krabi is very lucky to have someone like you living there. I'm also a big fan of markets and this is a big reason why I'm interested in moving to Thailand - the availability of fresh and affordable foods.

    Leilani Kapoor that's not really my experience of Krabi. I came here on holiday and loved the place and people so much that I decided to move here, and after 20 months here I am very happy with that decision. I have stayed in accommodation in a few parts of Thailand & in my view the accommodation in Krabi is about the same price as in other parts.

    It really depends on what you like. My personal favourite place to stay is the Frog and Catfish. It has great rooms, great service, amazing food and it's not too expensive. I made a video there when I first discovered it that you can watch if you want to see it. Probably your best bet is to have a look on tripadvisor so you can see what is available in Krabi for yourself. There are hundreds of places to stay here.
    I hope that helps.

    Hi! Darren i really like your video Krabi is nice place and i love shopping,i love to go there next year with my daughter but i would like to ask you if is safety to travel there, i have read some news that lots of people who died there in some part of Thailand that been murdered...

    • @darrenb3

      CHOCOLATE ICECREAM Thanks. I personally feel safer in Krabi than in many places I've been to in Australia, and overall Australia is a pretty safe country. Having said that in the modern world, there are violent crimes everywhere unfortunately. In 3 & 1/2 years I have never had any incidents in Krabi where I felt I was in danger, but although rare, they do happen from time to time, as with everywhere else in the world. I think if you are aware, use your common sense, you avoid doing things that may put yourself at risk (like walking deserted streets & beaches at night, going to places or getting into vehicles with people who are unknown to you), and are polite and courteous then I think you're most likely safer in Krabi & Thailand than in lots of other places in the world. I hope that helps :)

    Hi Darren, it's just as I remember it! Got to be one of the nicest places I've ever visited. You say that you've moved there, what do you do for a job? I'd love to move there with my family but don't know how we'd make enough to live.

    • @darrenb3
      @darrenb3  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jack, Yes, it is a very nice place. I am a school teacher here. It pays about $1000 US per month, which is enough for some people to live here, but for others it's not enough. It really depends on one's lifestyle.

    darren, that is why I am getting things sorted here in u.s. so if I go there and decide to stay I won't have to worry anything..I am doing it cause I know I will stay longer..lol..Do I have to have a round trip ticket to go to thailand..? Is it required or can I buy one way? thanx

    • @darrenb3
      @darrenb3  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Marie, I didn't have a round trip ticket to come here. I applied for a tourist visa in my home country, bought a one-way ticket & came. You're best to contact your local Thai embassy for accurate & up to date information. I hope that helps.

    Krabi is a bit tourist-y, isn't it?
    That is, I've read stuff from people who've gone there and found the people to be NOT as friendly as in other parts of Thailand, and ... I've been told that the natives are full of scams for unsuspecting tourists, as well as that hotels and accomodations are quite pricey compared to the rest of the country.
