I liked the way their relationship was portrayed. They were forced into each other's lives and had to learn to navigate parenting together. I see them more as comrades/family. They had mutual respect for one another and prioritized their daughter above themselves and each other. I wouldn't say there was anything romantic about their relationship, but they both valued one another and would not see harm come to the other. There was something unique and special about that. It fit perfectly with the theme of family above all else and Always & Forever. I can't help but think of: "This is my family. I found it, all on my own. He was devasted by haley's death. Noone was effected the way klaus was by her death ..not even elijah . He cared fr her since the day they came to know eachother even when he doesnt knew about hope

To be honest I think Haley was in love with Klaus but he was very bad towards her at first pushing her to Elijah and making her have her guard up against Klaus. Not until mid season 3 when they started connecting and becoming really close again. But she always had a softer side

The only thing that’s making me not ship them as much is Hayley and Elijah. Your love triangles are Klamille and Klaroline. Mine are Haylijah and Klayley. So in the end I just went with Klamille and Haylijah.
