  • What’s going on TH-cam family! Hope you are all well and have been taking value from the content on this channel.
In this episode I talk about something that has been a big player in my success which is incremental growth.
In life, we often think there is some sort of secret or magic formula to changing our lives and achieving our goals.
What I have found is you can you change your life incrementally, with daily small steps towards the bigger vision. All you need to do is start with 3 small goals daily then build that up to 5 daily goals once you have been consistent with 3.
You’ll be amazed at how focused you are and what you achieve. The power of incremental growth is simple yet effective.
I hope you find this video valuable as I share from my life experience!

"Patience is one of the hardest things for a trader to adopt. The truth is knowing when to stay out the market is just as important. Protect your capital rather than forcing yourself to constantly be in the markets and take trades that don’t fit your plan."

This is such a key topic. We all make the mistake of “dating superstars” from the offset. It’s important to slowly work your way up and aim for incremental progress in everything you do in life.

100% mate, be not afraid of growing slowly but be afraid of standing still. Incremental growth is powerful and great thing is it’s so easy to do and so easy not to. 🔑

From the future mark. You're turning my life around for the better.
I'm pushing myself these recent days.
I've started doing the things I would never do before.
And beautifully, I'm getting the rewards.
Time to get to work again.

Thank you so much Mark. About a month ago, I started applying your 555 rule, I started listing down my 5 daily goals and one of them is to read a book chapter by chapter. I don't read books, I'm not really a book person, but following your advice, I started building a habit. And now, I will start applying what you mentioned on this video about reading books. Thanks again.

    Hi Mark
I have about 10 audible books that i constantly consume , Napoleon Hill is by far my most listened to also T Harv Ecker. I have been doing this for a couple of years, i turned the tv off , now just do you tube and books aprox 20 hours a week then took action. Today is a big day for me as i became financially free, once the penny drops there's no stopping. Love the content wish i had worked on mind set at your age , keep it up.

Absolutely it is the right approach. 'Action' will make the difference. Still, I think it is important to read the 'correct' books. So selecting books or any other reading materials is important and I guess someone like you can tell us how to select a book. For an example, if I want to become a successful trader, what are the books I should read and what sort of books I should avoid, because the whole purpose of this activity is not to read dozens and dozens of books, but read those books which would help you to achieve your goals.

    Hi Mark,
This was a really valuable lesson. I have some audiobooks that I listen to if I backtest or drive to work and do that in a repetition.
The latest book I took ton value was LIMITLESS from Jim Kwik. This book learns you to learn and remember better and also how do you getting a better focus and get the most out of your brain.
So I loved it when you mentioned unconscious competence. This is so crucial to creating good habits for yourself.
The book mentioned the 5 phases of learning.
    1. Unconscious incompetence
    2. Conscious incompetence
    3. Conscious competence
    4. Unconscious Competence
    5. Mastering / Refining
And we all want to go to level 4 as quick as possible but that is not how it works sometimes it takes months even years. As they say, practice makes PROGRESS.
And I have to admit I also wanted to read as many books as possible but what is the point if you don't ket any lessons from it. But sometimes we also have books we don't like.
We can take also key point from that as well. For example, I really liked the passion of Grant Cardone but I am listening now to his book "Be obsessed or be average"
I always said I don't want to be average but he mentioned he does not remember when he took his wife to dinner for a very long time without a company that could lead to business.
Almost every sentence he uses the word money. I think sometimes just you need to recharge and give quality time to your loved ones and not see everything as a business. Also, he brings it that everybody needs to know you if you made it. I really have a different opinion about that. So these were the latest things I learned from the books I read this month. I hope you don't mind I wrote this long message. Keep on going with these videos I really love them, cheers

Unfortunately, the current lot of young people want to live that Instagram life and are willing to cut corners to get there. This is especially the case with many youths in my country Kenya. I find that when you use other people's achievements as a yardstick to measure your own growth, it sets you up for dissapointment. Slow growth is still growth and if thats what it takes to get to the big league, then there's no problem with that.. As long as you do it the right way. Incremental growth is good because it facilitates the process of understanding your business more. You're able to see clearly which areas need more attention and what you can do to improve the overall strategy.
