I know its been 9 years now since this video released but I got into sirens this April, I live right in this area and before this year never payed attention to the sirens. I lived between the Bowen, Westport middle, and Zachary taylor Tbolts and the haunting ambiance of the Bolts always had this special place in my heart. I have never been able to fulfill this feeling with other ambiance until today. I started seeing sirens around here, I did the Tbolt at Westport July, and 3t22 in August (both were really healthy) sadly the bowen tbolt was replaced 2014 I wanna say and the Zach was replaced 2016. with the 2001-130's its not the same at all but anyhow thanks for this, great memories
Too far away to be heard from where I was at. I was on the Hurstborn end of Whips Mill Road, not the Shelbyville Road end where my uncle lives. That 3T22 was probably 2 or more miles away from where I was at.
Nope, that's a low tone Thunderbolt 1000T. As far as I know, there are no 440 HZ Whelens in Louisville. The fiew Whelens we do have are independent of the city's system, and they're all either 465 HZ or 560 HZ.
Thanks Tyler. I wasn't as pleased with the recordings as you'd think, because the rain kept hitting the mic on the first one, and the sirens weren't very loud at all in the second one. What are you recording for Tuesday's test? I'm planning on going back to Cochren unless I can find something better. What I'd really like to get is a bunch of Tbolts in a better ambiance recording than what I have here.
EPIC ambiance Josh!! I am so glad we still have our T-Bolts!

I think the 1000T on Level 4 sounded the creepiest.
I think I can hear a Whelen on 440 Hz in the background somewhere
Where is Lyndon's 3T22?
I love this!!!
