Remember, after every volume (season) You gotta react to that volume's soundtrack, cuz OMG it's all 🔥 as hell.
The Volume 1 trailers take place at different times, but are all before the events of Volume 1. There are character shorts before V5 and 6 that actually take place (partly) before the Volume 1 trailers, though. So keep that in mind.

Monty made the first pair of trailers by himself as proof of concept. RT picked it up, hence the dialogue, plot hints and extra characters in the second pair. The series suffered after his death, but the animation (if not the fight coreography) improves over time, and the music is usually on point.

Prepare to get a LOT more subscribers! The RWBY fandom is fiercely loyal to the show and will seek out new reactors to watch, and word gets out quick.
In Volume 1 Chapter 1 (it goes by volumes and chapters rather than seasons and episodes), the Red girl is 15 and the rest are 17. All of the trailers take place BEFORE Chapter 1, soooo...yeah. They are all jailbait LOL!
The red mark on the White girl's face was not "always there", it was blood from the blow she took. Watch the end of the fight again and look closely when the blood fades away.
Warning...once you make it to and through Chapter 8 of Volume one, you're hooked. One of us.

Monty Oum was genius creator. All of his work was just amazing to watch and would have loved to see so much more from him. Sadly though, he passed away while RWBY was being worked on. All of the fights, weapon designs were so entertaining, but the loss of him could be felt. A short series he was working on that got him hired (I think) to RT was called Dead Fantasy which pits Final Fantasy vs Dead or Alive characters. Not as long ( about 15 min I think for the whole series) but you will see so much of RWBY from that.

@@gh0xttherebel He also took part in the Red vs Blue series, which is noted by the bonus animations (as RvB is using the Halo games). Also recommend that series too as it is funny and can take you onto a rollercoaster of stuff.
hey man.. if you want to react to unedited episodes and music, it's easy to do. RT will always take the monetization but they won't outright block things. TH-cam's algorithm will block stuff but it's a matter of contacting RT and having them clear it.

The magnificence of Mounty Oum's animating finesse in the red trailer is unmatched for me to this day. The pace of the slashes and weight of the shots is so good!
-the Late, Great creator of the series Monty Oum (Rest in Peace) made that first trailer all by himself as a pilot pitch to Rooster Teeth, they accepted it and formed what is known as the "Crwby" who helped animate it and eventually took over after Monty's passing.
-a common thing to keep in mind for this universe: nearly every weapon is also some form of gun
-the animation only gets better (for the most part) from here, but the best parts of this series are the music and fight choreography in my opinion
-the wolf creatures in the "Red" trailer are a type of "creature of Grimm" known as a "Beowulf"
-the person who sung in all these trailers (Casey Lee Williams (i might have misspelt her name)) was only about 13 when she sung the soundtrack at this point! Mad Talent!
-Ruby and Yang are half sisters
-in the full version of Yang's theme song "I Burn" one of the lyrics she refers to herself as "Super Saiyan now" so yeah that is part of the inspirations of her design

The trailers, Players and Pieces, Sun vs Torchwick, the Train Fights, every time the series hit a big fight I just got more invested.
I mean, Black (Blake), Yellow (Yang), White (Weiss) are 17, and about 19 by now in the series. Red (Ruby) is 15 at the start. Also almost every weapon is also a gun.

As others have said, Rooster Teeth (the company behind RWBY) started as a TH-cam group. So they are perfectly fine with you putting the entire unedited episode into your videos when watching this series. It's TH-cam's stupid auto-copyright systems that will get it blocked. Rooster Teeth is fantastic when it comes to helping unblock it though. They will help with that, so don't hesitate to contact them if you need to. This series gets better with every volume (season.) The fights are always fire, and the budget just gets bigger and bigger every year. It's a bit more focused on its comedy and characters in the first two volumes, but that really helps lay the groundwork for the future of the series once the story takes off.

Yang (Yellow) really fucking do be a super saiyan tho. That's kinda the design choice they made for her semblance. She absorbs energy from hits she takes and can double that energy in return. For some reason, if you damage her hair she can return 10x the energy.

The name of the video Game is “RWBY Grimm Eclipse” and it was picked up and produced by RT after it started as a fan made kickstarter. They hired the person who originally tried to make the game.
Bro these edits are killing me lmao. Your reactions themselves are great to see too, you really seem to enjoy the music, so you should definitely think about reacting to the songs in the show, which are usually sung by Jeff and Casey Williams, father and daughter pair. As far games go, the ones that are around are not exactly big budget and the fact that they're more or less indie games show, but the RWBY characters show up in BlazBlue CrossTag which is a crossover fighting game of different series, and it's creators have a good track record and the game itself probably has the most replayablity and the only one worth the full price as long as you like fighting games. The other two I would say are most worth it while on sale.
Anyways, on a lighter note, one thing I'm sure you'll enjoy that everyone else does too is that one saying has spread from all the fans from the start of the series that rings mostly true: If it's a weapon, it's also a gun

The trailers are kinda subtle about it, but the four main girls are based off characters from different Fairy Tales....Red {name redacted} is based off Little Red Riding Hood, White {name redacted} is based off Snow White, Black {name redacted} is inspired from Beauty & The Beast, while Yellow {"Yang", apparently the older sister of Red} is based off Goldilocks....thus it's no accident the DJ is wearing a bear costume...

now that you've seen s3 im coming back here to explain: the black trailer takes place before the white trailer. blake and adam stealing that train of dust is the thing that caused jacques to abuse weiss so badly she snapped and decided to go to beacon, and he forced her to fight the giant suit of armor to prove herself. weiss and blake both leave their abusers in their trailers, and those two events are directly tied together
