$5,000 for this Doxa? Wow!!!!! I understand that it is a limited edition with carbon casing blah blah blah, but just wow!!!!! I think that these watch companies are just going crazy with limited editions and some unusual materials. Honestly, to me, it does not look that cool or something special to cough up $5 grand for this watch. perhaps, by end of this year, Doxa will come out with all Platinum and charge us $60,000. That would be "stupid cool" too, ha ha By the way, that light Yellow color actually make the watch even cheaper. Thanks for the review Rob. PS: Exquisite timepieces is back with vengeance, but as long as Rob does not do that stupid Bremont, I am cool with it. thanks
Agree 100%, especially when you can get carbon core G-Shocks for £100, charging $5k forTHAT, just because its carbon is a joke that many will fall for (unfortunately).
@@DanRC69 I highly doubt that "many" will fall for. the max that will fall for be 300 stupid people (300 limited edition :+) and I am certain that Doxa will lower its pricing by half in less than a year because those people will be around 100 or so, ha ha ha
Thing is there is carbon fiber and there is carbon fiber. Like there is oak and there is chipboard both are wood but one is better than the other. This stuff is chipboard! And it chips!

Paying almost $4,000 for a "plastic" wristwatch is baffling! Doxa's pricing strategy is beyond my grasp. It seems that every watch in Doxa's collection, despite not looking superior to any Squale watch, is priced at least double or even multiple times higher than Squale and other comparable diving watches. While Squale may not be acknowledged as a High Horology brand, Doxa doesn't appear to fit into that category for me either. The term "plastic" is used because the actual percentage of carbon in the watch is unknown. Typically, "carbon fiber" must be mixed with other plastics, leading to the possibility that these new "Carbon Fiber" watches contain less than 10% carbon, which I suspect could largely be a marketing ploy.
Beautiful watch but it’s dang hard to get past that price.
