Something with low tension works well...nylon & fluorocarbon. Steel strings on a guitar bend easier, but low tension uke string will let you bend 'er up!
Well Denise, I fret as close to the frets as possible to get a clean sound...this is an old habit from playing classical guitar. You can find the sweet spot that works for you by fretting right on top of the fret (that'll be a muffled sound) and move your finger just behind it to clean it up. Hi Stu can you bridge chords on a ukulele rather than bar I can bar but it's fiddly I also play guitar but the ukulele is still kinda new to me thanks Stu 👍👍👍👍👍👍

All depends on your tastes! Concert size is nice …for a bigger body & deeper tone, try a tenor uke w a LOW GCEA tuning. Muchismas Gracias
