Merci pour cette délicieuse chanson. Je me réjouis d'avance de tous les bonus compris dans les Patreons lessons🙌🥳 then... any song by Nina Simone. Big 🙏🎶
Hi Stu, you're a great teacher and a wonderful artist. Of course, I've subscribed. I'm 71 years old and just diving into baritone uke and tenor guitar. You're giving so much inspiration! Being a huge fan of blues and jazz, I'd be greatful to have a tutorial on Moonlight in Vermont. May I have hope? Greetings from Germany.
Thank you for this very well done tutorial. I'm a 74 year old beginner and will probably have to learn it all over again tomorrow but loving it in the moment.
Good one Stu. Used to sing this when I played the drums in a Trad Jazz band back in the 60's. Just surprised myself because I found I can still hit the high notes. Which is not bad for a 71 year old growler 😬. It's still one of my favourite Jazz standards. 👍
That’s awesome Nigel! Got those high notes deep in your DNA! I love the trad jazz sound…so cool & rootsy (“happy jazz” as it’s sometimes called) Thanks for watching! 🤙🎶😊
Love your jazz standards Stu, how about 'Baby Won't You Please Come Home', 'I Ain't Got Nothin' But the Blues', 'Sugar Blues', or 'Blue Skies Are Round the Corner'? I love the keys you pick because they fit my voice perfectly!
Thanks Rudy -- I'll have to checkout some of those tunes...I've always loved 'Baby Won't You Please Come Home'...Key of G seems to fit most male & female ranges nicely...always so hard to tell what will work! 😉
I never had ears for jazz till I heard this. I thought Diminished sounds clumsy. Till I learnt its methodical melodic use here. The sound got me. Thanks for everything, you are a life teacher and not just a music teacher, I see on your face and body language that you are happy and pleased with yourself and in a sense a “found man”. Keep on doing the good work. Found your channel recently hence my greetings for new year. I see a distinct ease of teaching and beauty in teaching methods in Uke teachers, so humble, so happy to help kind of behaviour in contrast to guitar teachers. Lucky to find Uke and its fantastic teachers. God Bless. My bedroom compositions for self and family will now have more spice. 🤩🙏🙏
Thanks for watching Ajay! (I have a friend Ajay who is studying to be a doctor ;-) SO glad you have found the ukulele and I'm very happy that my lessons can help your music journey. @@UkuleleZen Thank you so much. I'll be patient and I'll keep at it. And I am loving it. Best wishes from one of your German fans. Cool how the Internet enables us to connect.
really enjoyed this, Stu. The use of chords I rarely play made it challenging, and I was happy to learn them: Gdim7, Am7, and Dm7. Not for a rank beginner, I'd say, but great for people who've been playing a while and want to expand their range. Excellent teaching and pacing, as always. Love your classes!
Thanks been playing for about a month and I'm catching on. Could you also teach an easy version for "You've Got a Friend", using some finger picking. Learning leaps and bounds. Loving the Uke! Thanks again. Kathleen
Hi Stu! Awesome tutorial as always. I am one of your happy patreons. I would like to suggest a tutorial of "Comes Love" Carmen McRae sung it. Thank you and happy 2022 to you and your lovely family.
For starters, play what is here without slowing down or speeding up, signing & delivering the song from start to finish...there's always more to refine even in an "easy version" ;-) That said, there's other advanced videos on the way.. Stu - just came across your site... Very nice! I just started adding uke into my shows and would love to know which jazz standards you currently teach, so that I can add those into my repertoire. Do you have a list? Considering joining your Patreon. Thanks!

They are particularly beautiful chords the 7s. Something haunting about them.
Indeed Gavin. Someday I’ll cover all 5 types of 7th chords…

awesome tutorial, really liked the chord chart...Its crazy how a 7th can make things groovy!
Thanks Victor...yes, the 7ths added change a three note triad into a more colorful four note chord. Play on, Stu
Thank you very much, Stu :) I'd choose "I Could Write A Book" or "East Of The Sun And West Of The Moon". Have a wonderful playful day!

Hello i love this song.
I think the uke must be use only for the jazz and polynesian music.
Awesome, Stu; love this tune. Would love to hear your take on Nature Boy; it's about a plant-based restaurant!

Great lesson! But hard for me to follow because the graphic is cut off at the bottom.

Well done Stuart!
‘How Deep is the Ocean’?’ Is another one I’d love to play
Hi the Marianis trench it's approximately 36,000 feet deep
Where do I get those bell things on your uke? I need those 😊
