    For me, it was nice to see hicks front run, rather than sit and kick. Maybe he is serious about wanting to run with the big boys / you know, that bunch of guys running under 13.

    Looked to me like Ayele ran Barnicoat all the way out to the outside of lane 3 in the final stretch to try to block him from passing. What a punk.

      After watching again I think it may be more the blue tights/white shoes combo and more just in his final 100 meters kick. Otherwise ya it may be a bit of a reach as charles sits in the saddle moreso than jakob to name at least one difference. But what they have in common is that i love watching both run!! 😊

    • @taylormeeks4948

      You should be allowed to try and force them out side just not cut them off like really quickly. It’s called tactics

    • @HowlingFantods
      @HowlingFantods ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@taylormeeks4948 The runner in the lead is allowed to hold their line which may result in the passing runner having to go outside to get around. They are not allowed to continue to drift out in an attempt to prevent the runner behind them from getting by. The Israeli was nearly in lane 4 when the camera panned to them. This is not "tactics" this is bad sportsmanship and grounds for a disqualification.

    It's the main race we normal oldsters can compare ourselves. My best was 23 minutes when I was in my mid-50s (and I was never very athletic). But the "5K" got too lonely for me (and I make wrong turns because nobody ever near me). I was minutes behind all the younger guys and faster than most women and old guys.

    BRAVO Charlie, if you had run that aggressively at NCAAs you would be a two time champion. No 53 second last 400 is necessary when you run like a champion, from the front!

    • @DCGomez-zg1wd
      @DCGomez-zg1wd ปีที่แล้ว
