Caitlin went to school at St. Francis of Assisi in WDM, IA. I am a member of that parish, and I also worked in the after day care program at that school. They love their basketball and football teams at Dowling, where Caitlin attended for 4 years of high school. She is truly a wholesome, Christian, girl who loved God, family and basketball and just will not get caught up in the jealousy and backbiting that is going on in the WNBA. I admire her so, and part of the reason she is hated is due to the fact that she is an Iowan who can play basketball better than any woman who ever lived, she is straight, and she is white and a strong Christian.

    @HandyManMike 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

My perspective on Clark is simple. Men respect her game. Most men cannot shoot consistent 3's in a game from outside the 3-point line. That makes her exciting to watch. If we can see dunks from this league, we can get excited about 3 pointers. Clark's game is improving with each game and now she is elevating the skills of the other players on her team by dishing the ball off to them. it also appears that Clark has a strong all-around game. In the past, the WNBA was unwatchable for me. Now there is a player (B or W) that is exciting to watch. As a consequence of watching Clark, I am starting to appreciate the skills of other women in the league. I want to be a fan of the WNBA, but these women need to put their petty envy aside and start working on their game to improve their personal basketball skillsets. The league should be happy to have a new fan base with new eyes watching them play. I've seen players and coaches in interviews that appear to have a condescending attitude toward the new fans. Many of these new fans are men who are fans of the NBA and know the sport very well. They should consider themselves lucky to have men interested in watching them play. All that being said, I think Clark should be on the Olympic team. Otherwise, I will not be watching them play as a personal protest.

What Cheddar Cheese did was NOT a Basketball Play, as the 'Basketball' WAS NOT IN PLAY. and REESE drew huge NEGATIVE to herserself and Cheddar, her Partner in Crime bY Jumping up and cheering for that BEYOND FLAGRANT FOUL, (while other members of the SKY team, were clearly shocked and unhappy by Cheddar's body check on Clark) The problem with the W, is that in this period of POLITICAL activisim by the League and certain Players, with viewership down to historic and embarrassing lows. The League became very UNPROFESSIONAL at all levels. From the Boardroom/Executive Level, to the Coaches., On Court and off Court, Officials, to the players themselves. A level of Unprofessionalism and Thuggery creeped in, and Became the NORM. Now that a True Professional has entered the League with extreme skill. Charisma, Talent, and a marketable body of appearance, behavior and game talent, mass attention has been brought to the league. New viewers..Who are stunned by the lack of professionalism by the Players, Officials, Coaches and Executives of the League. All levels of the League are now under greater scrutiny because of this 22 year old Mid West Girl who is interested only in Basketball, her friends, and teammates. This league will have to drop much of is political activism as it is mostly EXTREME LEFT WING and the vast majority of NEW VIEWERS are MODERATE or RIGHT WING MODERATE. The Attention CC is bringing is simply shinning alot of light on what has gone wrong in the League during this lengthy period of social and cultural irrelevance. The League has gotten comfortable being subsidized by THE MEN of the NBA and its FANS. THEY have gotten fat, dumb and happy down in their little Fleabottem like Town of insignifigance. And CC is forcing them to GO BACK TO WORK.

With the arrival of this new batch of rookies led by Caitlin Clark, the WNBA is being exposed for why it has been such a flop for so long. It has an exclusive “country club” mentality. The issue is not black vs white as much as it is lesbian vs straight. Just look up why former third overall pick in the 2008 WNBA draft, Candace Wiggins, chose to prematurely retire from the WNBA, in her prime at age 29. Hope they don’t run CC out the same way. Probably not, because she has too many fans and supporters who have her back, unlike Candace Wiggins during her time when hardly no one cared about, or watched the WNBA.

Yes been saying that repeatedly. See candace on her story...how these lesbian militants beat her up repeadly and forced her out...even the refs. Then they tried to cover it up and deny they were lesbians by using stewart as a denier who was a closet gay at the time...and would pass for straight... what a joke.
Candace was black and beautiful and extremely talented...black and talented didn't matter.. bc it not about race...just a cover to hid the real agenda....it is that she was straight and even Christian and wasn't buying in to be in or promote the fraternity.
Swoops, now visexual, a total hater was a lesbian given credit for coming out in around 2005, left her hubby and was credited as the lesbian encouraging other lesbians to come out and trying to teach them how to b marketable militant gays also to recruit the youth to idolize them and join by using the wnba as their platform...it is still their plan today.
Someone being gay is their chose and between them and God...being militant and stealth to trick or force others to join like they doing to cc is extreme bullying and illegal as they are all employees. They also cant physically abuse or take opportunities away from cc which they are just bc cc not joining or being the spokesperson for the fraternity.
.. those are not just gay but they are militant shebeasts who are not marketable and not bball players who care about the sport. They are deceitful activists using the sport to trick the youth.
So they can't let this straight lady b the face or get international acclaim through the olympics. They waiting for paige that is a fellow shebeast for that.
And this is why the entire league and media are against cc. Her team...sides...the league and so forth. It is sabotage and they don't care how much money they lose to get her oppressed. They believe the nba will keep saving them
..they believe they are marketable and the viewers are unfair for not watching all these years and they dont want cc viewers around bc we r exposing what is really going on and not interested in being converted by deception and want our kids protected from such deceptive agendas.
This is what we r seeing! Glad u see it. Wiggins is vindicated and ty for leaving these vids of ur story that is helping others not b fooled at such a time as this!!!

I didn't watch basketball before watching CC in the FIBA international competition winning gold medals. I'm not an expert so I don't know who should be on Team USA. I know the 2 injured players should not be. I also know I would pay a premium to watch CC on Team USA. I didn't even know there was women's basketball in the Olympics.

She wasn't even close to the ball. To pretend like that was NOT INTENTIONAL is nothing more than dumbing down of the fans and minimizing the worth of women players.
To pretend like it's not real means nothing in the WNBA is real. WNBA is allowed by the men who fund it every single year at a loss since it's start.
FINALLY you have a leader, Rockstar, true athlete player and the losers that she plays with are mad that she is getting the attention.
    SHE DESERVES IT!
The factual statistics of her skills and the true numbers of people watching because of her is PROOF that she is the reason why WNBA is on the map.

Indiana's coach sucks. She doesn't know how to draw plays to utilize and get the best out of Clark. No concept of blocking and screening properly. Not utilizing the pick and roll for Boston. Everyone knows Clark is not just a 3-pt shooter. She is an awesome passer. Go figure!!!

Basketball play. Basketball play. I have played this sport most of my life. If I committed a flagrant foul like not giving a free lay up I just grabbed their arm sometimes wrapping them up in a bear hug. I never swiped sideways from behind going for the ball. Reese knew she could not reach that ball. Look at where her arm is when she started her swipe. Yeah she was not going for the ball. Well unless you are saying CC has a basketball sized head.

Here is the issue with saying it's just how they play, no biggy. The more they are allowed to get away with, the more they will try, and eventually, multimillion dollar players are going to be out for good from career ending injuries. It has to be limited now while they can still control it. If there's a foul, call it, period, the rules are there for a reason and if a player like Angel doesn't like the rules she can quit. If everyone else has to play by them, so does she, no exceptions. The rules are there for a reason, career ending plays can NOT be allowed.

Naturally and logically for so many reasons apart from sheer skill. Oh and the lady who said the flagrant on her was wrong...they were with intent. Someone did a video to show statistically how many flagrant the said team did so far for season vs all teams, compared to how many they did on CC. Look forth for another player on the team flagranting CC next game. A Reese was covering her wrong, and CC was being wise in how she handled questions on it.

The reason a foul is called that is because it's not part of basketball, it's cheating. Is there something about that Swopes doesn't understand? If CC's team are so supportive of her why don't they pass her the ball?

A sport any age should be about the support of the players and fans and the love of the sport! The past has shown this doesn’t promote enthusiasm for the generations to follow!

Canada has a very competitive team and Caitlin just may be that missing piece - look what Mr. Leonard did for the Raptors in 2019.
I personally have dual citizenship and if there is an opportunity here for you Caitlin, all of Canada (at least most Canadians) would welcome you with open arms. By the way, Toronto will have a WNBA Team before your contract will be up….(hint, hint).

  • @BenjWarrant

AR did *NOT* downplay the incident; she whined about people having a 'special whistle'. Caitlin *DID,* however, downplay it; she said 'Ho hum, basketball. See you at the next game.'
The context, which you left out, was the *sui generis* foul on Clark in the last Sky game, when Carter body slammed her *and AR applauded from the bench* and then *congratulated Carter and put her arm around her* when she cam off the court; then afterward she refused to make herself available for the media. That 'context' probably explains 50% or more of the media interest in this incident, which if committed by any other play on the Sky other than Carter or AR would have gone without being remarked upon.

If she missed whatever req that others in the past have, and they didn’t play, yep. Rules be rules. No Olympics. No politics. It’s the rules. Don’t like the rules, don’t change them mid “season” or season. Change them between them for future stars. Would I like to see her going. Maybe. But many people aren’t seeing that wnba is still going to playing, as far as I know, without the USA women’s members. Means more shine on her, therefore, she’s playing with the bottom of the barrel. Strangely, missing the OC may get more people to watch the world WNBA. I still can’t figure out how that hurts anyone really. I would rather watch a Fever match up during the Olympics than one of our team playing without it. They better win as usual though. Lol.

CC should be on the Olympic team. It’s petty and beneath the 5 gold rings to not invite her. She’s worth upwards of 200 millions in sales and eye balls. The biggest mistake in Olympic history .

  • @michaelsteven5558

I do not truly care about the Olympics. Since 1980 it has become too political, plus the networks spend 2/3 of their air time on athlete stories and thus not enough time on the events. Even with Clark, the women's basketball would likely only show a couple games beyond the gold medal match. On top of that, when it comes to teams from the USA, far too many athletes are disparaging the country with their antics.

Like many others, I am a big Clark fan. However, it didn't bother me that Clark was left off of the Olympic team. It was pointed out by at least 2 commenters that international womens' basketball is much rougher than the WNBA. Clark, while not complaining, has mentioned feeling pretty beat up at times. I think that getting used to the level of play at the professional level is enough to ask of anyone in their first year here. Others may feel differently.
