They all have a meaning though. TBOGT puts you in the eyes of the rich man running every business in Liberty City so you see everything at a new light. TLAD and IV you start from the bottom.
@@bluecloves9523now that I think about it they kind of tried to do it again with 5 but it just doesn’t hit the same since you play as all 3 together. With 4 having its main story and the 2 dlc connect to the main story makes for better story telling imo.
I always hoped for Luis to come back in future games but after seeing what happened to Johnny I like to imagine he just settled down after what happened with Tony eventually leaving for Los Santos.
I was too young to buy this game, but my older cousin had it. Whenever I would sleep over, we would run this game for houuurrrss. His mom would call us to come eat or do something, pause the game, come running back to the room with this playing. Then we’d just sit and listen. Damn how time flys. We paying bills and dont have time for games now. Cherish your youth my friends, and have fun in the moment. These are the fun times you will remember, you just dont know it yet.

The more upbeat yet still dark brother of IV and TLAD. Really encapsulates the game perfectly. This pause music is the embodiment of optimism in spite of bad things happening.
GTA IV is my #1 favorite game and I love TLAD too, but man those stories are dark and depressing af 🤣 I always enjoyed how TBOGT was basically a little more light hearted version of GTA IV.
They all compliment each other very well. Niko’s story being the most neutral toned, TLAD the most dark, and arguably sad. But TBoGT redeems the depressive feelings you get from the other two, and leaves you feeling like everything might be alright. Love em all
Rockstar ain't creating something like that in the future again It was perfection and now they can't perfect it again thanks for remastering and making a clearer version of one of the best music in the entire series I still wonder why I feel nostalgic even though I started playing it last year

I feel like TBoGT is the only happy GTA that takes place in Liberty City. I spent my early childhood years playing GTA IV, and when I was finally able to play TBoGT in 2023, I was amazed. The colors, the new weapons, the storyline, the character, the location, the atmosphere. Way happier than GTA IV and TLaD. And introduced many new things as well, like parachute jumping, that was present in San Andreas but not in IV. Not to mention the helicopter with integrated Machine Guns, the golden Uzi, and the song "Suavemente" by Elvis Crespo on the Radio, that was added. Yes, TBoGT is difficult (I had to use cheats) but still, it is a really fun game, it doesn't even feel like a Liberty City game, but more like Vice City, or GTA 5. And Luis is so cool. I, to this day, still believe that the Niko Johnny Luis trio is the best trio in Media. The peak of Rockstar Games. But not only the peak of Rockstar Games, but other companies too. In 2009, Pokémon HeartGold came out, in the same year as GTA TBoGT. One year later, Pokémon Black and Mario Galaxy 2 would come out. Late 00s and early 10s is just a magical period for gaming of all types. And I feel like almost any console and game peaked back in that same period. I to this day still play both TLaD and TBoGT. I still remember the phrases said by Luis after you completed a Drug War : "see you later degenerates". Or "behave". TBoGT elevated IV to even more perfection. Second best GTA game of all time imo

I have never played EFLC. Today, I have installed it, for the first time in ever. Once I'm done with the main story and Biker story, I will dive into this. The funny thing is? I have never played it, but this tune sings "soul-crushing early 2010 nostalgia" like nothing else. I fully resonate with people who have fond memories of TboGt. Soon, I will have my own.
i have a really strange but memorable memory with this music: there was this girl i used to chat (like really long ago), and we were like kinda next to each other, but since this was just an internet thing and the fact she never come to the region i lived, we never really met in person, and slowly bit surely our relationship died. i remember listening to this song while i talked to her, the many times were we just got along and enjoyed each other. we end on good terms despite that, she even followed me on instagram and i guess she is married nowadays.
As much as I appreciated the gritty and serious tone from GTA IV, after how depressing TLAD was it was nice to get TBoGT which was all about the party. GTA IV is still my overall favorite of the franchise. To those who miss the days of online, there are guides on Steam to restoring multiplayer to the Complete Edition, people still play online
Those were some good times. Not even talking about nostalgia-- the late 2000s/early 2010s weren't perfect, but they hit that sweet spot of technological advancements and innovation/creativity working together. People were still trying out new things because they could. They weren't trying to fit into the homogenous standards where everything is the same for maximum profit. I miss it.

Back in 93 I met a girl at RainBo skating rink here in Chicago named DJ. She was from Spain and was only here for a month and every weekend we would meet up at the roller rink until she went back home. For that month that was one of the best times of my life and DJ wherever you are now know that I'm still walking...hope you are too.

I feel like TBoGT is the only happy GTA that takes place in Liberty City. I spent my early childhood years playing GTA IV, and when I was finally able to play TBoGT in 2023, I was amazed. The colors, the new weapons, the storyline, the character, the location, the atmosphere. Way happier than GTA IV and TLaD. And introduced many new things as well, like parachute jumping, that was present in San Andreas but not in IV. Not to mention the helicopter with integrated Machine Guns, the golden Uzi, and the song "Suavemente" by Elvis Crespo on the Radio, that was added. Yes, TBoGT is difficult (I had to use cheats) but still, it is a really fun game, it doesn't even feel like a Liberty City game, but more like Vice City, or GTA 5. And Luis is so cool. I, to this day, still believe that the Niko Johnny Luis trio is the best trio in Media. The peak of Rockstar Games. But not only the peak of Rockstar Games, but other companies too. In 2009, Pokémon HeartGold came out, in the same year as GTA TBoGT. One year later, Pokémon Black and Mario Galaxy 2 would come out. Late 00s and early 10s is just a magical period for gaming of all types. And I feel like almost any console and game peaked back in that same period. I to this day still play both TLaD and TBoGT. I still remember the phrases said by Luis after you completed a Drug War : "see you later degenerates". Or "behave". TBoGT elevated IV to even more perfection. Second best GTA game of all time imo

Most atmospheric GTA theme, by far, takes me to 2008-2013 best times ever, we were content and happy we just didn't know, post covid and I hope I can live like these times again

I have never played EFLC. Today, I have installed it, for the first time in ever. Once I'm done with the main story and Biker story, I will dive into this.
The funny thing is? I have never played it, but this tune sings "soul-crushing early 2010 nostalgia" like nothing else. I fully resonate with people who have fond memories of TboGt. Soon, I will have my own.
i have a really strange but memorable memory with this music: there was this girl i used to chat (like really long ago), and we were like kinda next to each other, but since this was just an internet thing and the fact she never come to the region i lived, we never really met in person, and slowly bit surely our relationship died.
i remember listening to this song while i talked to her, the many times were we just got along and enjoyed each other. we end on good terms despite that, she even followed me on instagram and i guess she is married nowadays.
As much as I appreciated the gritty and serious tone from GTA IV, after how depressing TLAD was it was nice to get TBoGT which was all about the party. GTA IV is still my overall favorite of the franchise.
To those who miss the days of online, there are guides on Steam to restoring multiplayer to the Complete Edition, people still play online

I still remember that in 2012 I played this great game...
Those were some good times. Not even talking about nostalgia-- the late 2000s/early 2010s weren't perfect, but they hit that sweet spot of technological advancements and innovation/creativity working together. People were still trying out new things because they could. They weren't trying to fit into the homogenous standards where everything is the same for maximum profit.

Back in 93 I met a girl at RainBo skating rink here in Chicago named DJ. She was from Spain and was only here for a month and every weekend we would meet up at the roller rink until she went back home. For that month that was one of the best times of my life and DJ wherever you are now know that I'm still walking...hope you are too.

Ive always been the youngest in my family and my brothers would always hog the games so i was never able to play during the day but when i was it was at 3am and during 2007ish and i never had wifi or anything this will always have a special place in my heart thanks for this, i would always fall asleep to this music so easily and now as an adult it still does thank you i honesty mean this

God makes me feel old as hell. This was when I first moved out of my parents house into an apartment with my best friend, we stayed up all night playing this shit online and had 3 jobs trying to survive and keep gas in my ‘87 lifted full-size Bronco. Man, those were the days!

I still have memories that are clear as day of playing the ballad of gay tony in the summer of 2010 and every time I play this game late into the night I sometimes would pause the game and accidentally fall asleep and then wake up the next morning to the pause screen and this music then I go to touch the ps3 and burn my hand a little bite because it was on all night.
