I have lived a long life, god knows how much longer, that life will be, but I am glad to have lived in the time that Melanie sang to me, how she made my heart glad at times and others, cry and still others, made me want to march in protest. Melanie Safka sings to my soul and that is but one of the reasons why I can say that I've lived a good life. Thank you, Ms. Safka.

Just bought 3 Melanie CDs from Amazon. Had to replace the songs from GATHER ME, STONEGROUND WORDS, FOUR SIDES OF....& others, as my vinyl copies were played so much the grooves got worn down. Plus, there was this scratch toward the end of CAROLINA IN MY MIND which destroyed the beautiful crescendos Melanie achieved on that most beautiful of all remakes. The songs and performance sound more beautiful than ever as it allows you even closer to Melanie's emotionally raw sincerity. Thank-You, Melanie, over the course of all these years for Ringing Our Living Bell.
